Michelin PRIMACY 3 - User reviews

Moved to Michelin, after using Bridgestone for years. I now have improved road holding, better MPG and reduced noise on the cabin. Cost about the same as Bridgestone, so the Michelin are in my view a better buy.

Traction tires great, but far too quickly consumes. When buying was 7 mm tread now on the front axle is 5 mm on the rear of 6 mm. At the store also have michelinkę XSE and the tread is 8 mm. I wrote to michelina confirmed that the Primacy 3 tire of news is 7 mm ......... embarrassment.

First of all, I do pretty much distance all around the country. I got new Michelin Primacy 3 tyres in April - a set of four 215/50 R17 XL 95 W. The car I fitted the tyres to is a Peugeot 5008 2.0 HDI. After 13 thousand miles mark hit in October, all I can do with them is to thow them into the bin as they wore off below the wear indicator. The tyre of such class should withstand at least 30-40 thousand miles in my opinion. I will definitely not buy Michelin Primacy 3 again. In dry conditions they brake superbly, but on wet or in muddy conditions - it's not even worth to talk about it. My driving style is dynamic, but without any aggressive maneuvers or braking if not necessary.

The Michelin Primacy 3 tyres were problematic from the very moment I fitted them. Three out of 4 were vibrating during the check. When checking the tread during spinning, you could feel your hand jump. During driving above certain speeds I could feel vibrations on my steering wheel, and I could hear loud humming from the tyres. Unfortunately, Michelin Primacy 3 are an evidence that Michelin has dropped their quality level... The tyres were manufactured in Germany in 2013.

Michelin Primacy 3 completely didn't fulfill its purpose despite the fact I have struggled with them for four months. I have a Volvo S60 T5 tuned to 290HP. The seller said they would do the job - they didn't. On dry they are even fine, but as soon as it starts to rain, TCS goes crazy; also they feathered after 6000 miles despite the fact my shocks are new and the whole suspension was replaced with new original parts. The tyres got so loud that you can't talk at 55 MPH. Michelin Primacy 3 are just another evidence for the fact that French things are just useless. My Volvo accelerates to almost 170 MPH, but if anyone wants to drive that fast, then not on these tyres despite the fact they are rated up to 186 MPH. I bought Michelin Primacy 3 two times - first and last time. This is just a waste of money.
