Very grippy Tyre. but a little bit floaty for my liking but no scrabbling for grip at all i will buy the same next time .

I was not able to test the Goodyear UG Performance G1 tyres in extreme weather conditions. However, after doing a few miles I am surprised with their quality. I think it was a good choice.

I must say that I was a big fan of Pirelli and Dunlop tyres but after trying the Goodyear UG Performance G1 model I will not purchase any different brand of premium tyres than Goodyear. The tyres do their job even on ice and in deep snow. Their grip is superb. I do not know if they are better than Michelin but from my perspective they are one of the best tyres money can buy.

Key to the winter in the UK is to have a tyre that grips well in the wetand this tyre does exactly that whilst performing ok in dry. I am saying ok in the dry because it is no match for a summer tyre in those conditions. I have drive little on ice and snow so far but initial impressions are that it does give you confidence

Such a situation - mountains, day after rain 50 cm snow - uphill drive to the hotel parking - BMW with 4x4 drive on winter tires - after 2 meters stands and in place, in a moment Jeep Wrangler on the winter lights - they had in place and slides on standing next to the car, my Volvo XC70 AWD on these tires - quietly goes uphill without the slightest problem. Even traction control did not turn on. Brilliant tires.
