Outside the city i'm driving rather fast and local roads are rarely without some layer of snow. I'm usually driving on the Firestone Winterhawk 3 tyres at the speed of 75 - 95 and just nothing bad ever happened! The car sticks the road very well and I did not happen aquaplane at all. I didn't change the tyres for summer, because those also hold great on the dry especially while cornering. The tread pattern is notched so that it creates a momentary discharge of large quantities of water from under the wheels, you can only see a big fountain in the rearview mirror.
