The Firestone Winterhawk 3 tyre model is according to me pretty much simmilar to winterhawk 2. In fact, the good behavior of the previous generation prompted me to just such a choice, but pretty soon I realized that it's practically the same. The primary parameter for me to evaluate is the ability to move off on wet or snow-covered roads, the previous generation is of no difference, compared to the summer. The behavior of the car was so much different, after a month of use I went to the MOT in order to check the drive AWD, if it works correctly because those were starting to feel very different from their prodecessor. I decided to drive on the Firestone Winterhawk 3 until the end of the season, i'll be considering selling those and getting something new. In the end I can mention that i was using 2 generation for 3 seasons and have carried them around 40k miles.

Under normal conditions, perform well in extreme snow and ice already worse. For dry very well at higher temperatures a little too soft even at 5-7 deg C time for replacement.

I drove around 2000 miles with Firestone Winterhawk 3 tyres fitted on my car, of which two routes were more than 500m. They behave properly, especially in the snow. Somewhat lsignificant tread wear though, a bit larger than expected, so i can estimate that they would last for another two seasons. Average rolling resistance, which resulted in a noticeable fuel consumption on the road. Average noise level, which the road is a bit cumbersome, especially at higher speeds on dry roads. I'm not sure what the author meant by asking for an assessment of the appearance of the tyre. They look like normal tyres, round, black, with no special frills. To sum up: Firestone Winterhawk 3 are the regular tyres, you get exactly what you pay for.

The tires are not in use, hence can not be evaluated. The delivery, packaging and service were highly recommended.

Hi, I can definitely recommend Firestone Winterhawk 3 for commuters. Driving to work every day 15 miles one way, they never failed me and were days with plenty of snow and slush. On the wet behavior was superb I'm not a speeder so not moving the way to make tyres squeal on dry. These tyres were of good price and seemed of good quality besides that brand is US one owned by Bridgestone. I certainly can recommend these tires

Firestone Winterhawk 3 have rather soft sides, so there's a bit of disadvantage for example when cornering at higher speeds. If someone runs quietly and takes care of the tires avoiding curbs is certainly these tires are made for him, they have fatastic grip, but as for me, i'd need something more sportylike.

I have a Firestone Winterhawk 3 by the size of 195/65 R15. Tyre's very good due to its handling characteristics in all conditions with respect to its prices. The only downside is relatively soft sidewall which when rapidly steered wheel movement causes slight sliding of the rear of the car. If someone drives aggressively it might be a problem. I checked the other tyre hardness sides of the middle and upper shelf and a large part has sides as soft as Firestone Winterhawk 3 - maybe it's just that such technology domonant nowadays. I would recommend for riding in a normal and peaceful manner. Not recommended for aggressive riding.
