On The journey these tyres do daily the weather changes continuously in winter. We live 120 metres above sea level so if the temperature is -1 here then the car goes down the hill on to motorway driving . 13 miles after that it goes in the hills and changes to country riads where it can be -10 , icy, snowing, slush . Not been on really deep snow yet, but they were good on a few inches of snow.

I cant give an opinion these are winter tyres but we have not had enough snow to judge them .But they are ok in the wet as we have had plenty rain.

Over the past several years I traveled to many tires - but so far I have not had fatal. Personally, I'm afraid to leave on a "white" roads because I feel that I did not go on winter tires. Each sharper turn you need to plan and firmly braked in front of him not to fly. Earlier (in the previous car) I had UltraGrip 7+ (then 8) and then on those winter felt almost like grip on the asphalt. I felt confident behind the wheel. With the current Falken HS449 - I'm going with my heart in my shoulder. I must admit that I bought because it was the cheapest (a year ago) in size 225 / 45R19 - and what adequate (so wasted) to the price so the choice was Falken - Today I regret.

For the time being there was no real winter, so it's hard to say how they behave in winter conditions. Tire quiet but very economical when it comes to burning. I regard it as a good buy at an affordable price. Land that new and chinese. Proper evaluation will come only after 2-3 seasons, but for now I'm happy.
