After my first winter season done on these tyres I am very pleasantly surprised that you can get such good winter tyres for such a small price. For the whole winter I have never encountered a problem with driving uphill or droving out from any place, and I have to say I drive a lot on conutry roads, where snow ploughs may not drive very often. In the first season, my Barum SnoVanis did their job for an A. We'll see how will they do in the second and probably the last season, due to the fact that I do ca. 20 thousand miles in winter. After 2 seasons these tyres will have over 40 thousand miles, so I don't want to risk and fit them for the third season. Taking into account that these tyres have a ridiculously low price comparing to its awesome quality, I prefer to buy a new set of Barum SnoVanis every two years than risk sliding on much more expensive tyres for four seasons.

Barum SnoVanis are good and cheap tyres. With my calm driving style, I can easily plough through even totally snow-covered routes. As all winter tyres, this one is weak on ice, and you also have to watch out not to get stuck in deep fresh snow (my car is a rear wheel drive and I have to put ca. 300 kgs to stop my car from getting stuck), but overall I am happy with them despite the fact I only did my first season on them.
