The Goodyear EfficientGrip Cargo 2 is the premium brand's answer to the needs of light commercial vehicle drivers. This renewed edition of the popular and highly acclaimed EfficientGrip Cargo tyre ensures safe travel as well as excellent performance throughout the summer season.
Goodyear's internal tests have shown that the model offers improved performance compared to its predecessor, particularly in terms of durability and wet grip. Overall tread life has increased by 38%. Its slower wear is due to a new rubber compound. Dzięki temu, że jest ona odporna na negatywne oddziaływanie wysokich temperatur oraz surowych warunków drogowych, zapewnia dłuższy czas eksploatacji opony bez utraty najlepszych właściwości.
The braking distance on wet roads has been reduced by 8% compared with the previous version of the tyre. The model has been developed in such a way that the tread deforms optimally when manoeuvring, which clearly translates into quick stopping of the car when the brake is pressed.
The top layer of rubber is largely responsible for the excellent traction in especially demanding rainy conditions and protection against dangerous aquaplaning. Grooves and numerous channels effectively evacuate water, increasing the tyres' grip.
Goodyear
Goodyear is a company whose history dates back to 1898, when Frank Seiberling founded the firm, named in honour of Charles Goodyear, the inventor of the rubber vulcanisation process. Over many decades, the company has made a name for itself as a pioneer of new technologies, developing, amongst other things, the first fully replaceable tyre and the forerunner to run-flat technology – the LifeGuard dual-tube tyre. It was on the American company’s innovative tyres that a car first broke the 600-mile-per-hour barrier, and they also accompanied the crew during the first successful moon landing. Today, Goodyear is one of the world’s largest tyre manufacturers, classified – and not without reason – in the highest premium segment. The American group owns brands such as Dębica, Fulda and Sava.
