Goodyear Eagle LS2

Goodyear Eagle LS2 belongs to the second generation of tyres in the Luxury Grand Touring category. Four circumferential grooves provide additional safety when driving on wet roads. The tyre has a rounded profile and a modern rubber polymer ensures resistance to rapid wear and also provides flexibility in a wide temperature range.

Goodyear Eagle LS2 is optimized by tyre engineers to ensure the correct amount of pressure acting on the tyre. As a result, the tread wears evenly and slowly over time, thereby preserving maximum performance throughout the life of the model.

Goodyear Eagle LS2 features a double steel belt and stiffened nylon fibres, so the tread does not deform during dynamic, and fast driving. The whole structure is protected against mechanical damage and track of the tyre is made more stable and vibration and noise are reduced by the thick and sturdy tyre shoulders.

Goodyear

Goodyear is one of the largest tyre manufacturers in the world. The company specializes in the production of premium tyres characterized by high quality workmanship, maximum performance and comfort of use. In addition to the Goodyear brand, it also manages its own brand names: Dunlop, Sava, Fulda and Debica. The company supplies tyres for passenger cars, vans, trucks, racing cars, 4-wheel drives and tyres for industrial and agricultural machinery.

    Opinion from outside the UK

I've bought Goodyear Eagle LS2 tyres 1.5 years ago. I've tested them in all conditions. Conclusion - I would recommend those for any person with a common sense. I drove during winter in deep snow and mud, and they acted better than winter tyres after a few seasons - I've put them on after 4 years driving on the Continentals and noticed improvement right away. In the dry during summer it is fine, slightly worse on the wet though - you can see your ABS and ESP acting up, and here I thought they will be good on the wet. In addition - it was hard to balance one of the tyres. Tyre wear is negligible, I made over 15 k miles. and they look like new.Last winter there were maybe like 20 days of snow - easily survive that period on those - way safer than on the summer tyre or an old winter one. Opinion from outside the UK

The Goodyear Eagle LS2 tyre very good. It's holding up well on both dry and wet surface. It can slide a bit on the slush though (I usually use a 4x4 and then there is no problem with it). Fairly quiet (quieter than Barum Bravuris 2, which had last year). After nearly 8 thousand miles i can't see any signs of wear. One annoying thing is that the small pebbles are getting stuck into the grooves in the tyre. Previously i've had Pirelli Scorpion tyres, and frankly I prefer Goodyears. In the three years they lost almost half of the tread depth (after a total os 20k miles driven), and the rubber looks old and worn. Not to mention the fact that the car going from a standstill in the wet was occasionally to slipping. Read more Collapse

Goodyear Eagle LS2 tyres are not the cheapest, but driving safety should come in first. In my opinion it is worth investing a bit for having no issues for the next several years. The tyres are quiet, road grip is excellent and in addition they suppres uneven road quite well. It's too early to tell what the fuel consumption looks like (i do have all wheel drive though) Read more Collapse

I am the owner of the Goodyear Eagle LS2 tyres since March of this year, so far they excel at both dry as well as wet. I haven't yet had an opportunity to use them during winter so i will sure write another review after i do so. I can say that money to quality ratio is exemplary so I can recommend them with a clear conscience. Read more Collapse

What's there to talk about. Goodyear Eagle LS2 tyres are ideal as a year-round tyre for a vehicle used mainly in a city where snow is quickly gone. Tires can not cope on deeper snow however and outside the city where snow removal is only superficial - so there the winter tires are irreplaceable. Quiet and smooth to operate. Read more Collapse

I bought a tire about two months ago and recently napadało lot of snow. Snow tire does not guarantee good traction properties and behavior is similar to a summer tire. On dry and wet roads is carried out flawlessly. I think that as the snow all season tire should be better. Read more Collapse
