    Opinion from outside the UK

I’m driving a lot for a passenger car driver and use lots of cars for that. I have a really good comparison when it comes for tyres of different producers and similar sizes. For me Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 in size 205/55R16 is close to an ideal tyre. I can’t feel ABS work on dry road and I have brakes of 312mm on the front and 256 in the back – like Audi S3. Good handling and grip on bands. Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 is ideal when starting even with my 189HP and 390 Nm car. Continental ContiPremiumcontact 2 is very silent at every speed. Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 has one thing which other sport tyres doesn’t have: it puts out every roughness and holes on a road. On wet road holds road very good ( by far only Uniroyal RainSport was similar ). Aquaplaning just doesn’t exist for Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 and when it drifts you still have time to react. Besides, riding on a wet road is very silent. Buying Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 I knew they might wear quite fast – I didn’t mind. I only wanted to have good rubber parameters and comfort of driving. So far I drove about 15000 miles and still 60-65% tread left. So durability is normal as other premium class tyres. I really recommend buying Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 as they are worth every single pound spent on them. Read more Collapse

The car the tyres are fitted to is an Alfa 156, distance driven is one season, 30 thousand miles. Previously I had Fulda EcoControl tyres. I bought them because of the test results, and I have to say that after this purchase, I stopped to believe tests. of course, there's no tragedy, but they are not worth the money, after changing from Fuldas (much cheaper) I have to say that Continental ContiPremiumContact 2s aren't any better, immediately after fitting they were pretty cool, but unfortunately they quickly began to lose their properties. The most annoying thing is squealing in corners, which is, according to me, worse than average from the beginning, and becomes more severe as the distance driven increases despite moderate abrasion. When it comes to braking, it's quite good, the tyre grips fairly well when starting, behaviour on a wet road is at moderate level. I think the biggest advantage is low abrasion - after 35 thousand miles there's still half of tread. Unfortunately, the drop of the properties is as strong as for example at Fulda's life span's end. I didn't notice any difference in fuel consumption. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

If any new, better tyres don't appear on the market, my next purchase will surely be Continental ContiPreminumContact 2 again. Distance traveled - not much, 10 thousand miles, so it's hard for me to give an objective assessment of all categories, especially because I did not have. any "emergency situations" on wet / dry surface. I guess the only drawback is abrasion (after a year tread loss is up to 2 mm, they should do fine for 5 seasons); supposedly they should get into aquaplaning, however I didn't notice anything (and I hope I won't!). For me, it's a good tyre, the most universal summer tyre of good quality. When buying tyres, I took into account almost all models from Nokian through Continental ContiPremiumContact 1, Pirelli (mixed opinions!) to Kleber and Barum Bravuris, maybe except Michelins (too expensive, the price is not justified by quality!). maybe only Bridgestone Turanza ER 300 are as good,. better (?), more expensive and louder. I I recommend Contientals. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Sometimes, I drive fast, but not always. Most of the distance I cover is made in the city, but sometimes I get to drive a route of 1500 - 2000 miles. After covering such distance the tyre was fine, but at first I wasn't satisfied. The tyres were very noisy and not very well stick to the surface, especially on wet. I had a feeling the tyres were very hard. I had the impression that the grooves of the tread are not rounded as it's determined by the profile of the tyre, but they are flat, and because of that the feeling was like you drove on rough surface. And they didn't grip well in the rain, especially on the pavement. But then they wore off a bit and adjusted. Now I can drive safely, but I don't have full confidence in them. I rate the current state, and if I assessed them after the purchase, it would be 3 - 2. Generally the tyres didn't meet my expectations fully. I had much better tyres, for example, Firestones and Pirellis. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I bought it in 2007 for a Passat with a 1.6 100 HP engine. Back then my odometer clocked about 60 000. Today, in August 2010 I have about 4 mm of tread, and about 120,000 on the meter. It's time for replacement. I drove only in the season. More distance was done in the summer, and I think I drove between 35,000 and 45,000 miles. I don't know if it's a good result. During that time, only once I drove on the nail and after patching everything is OK. Apart from that was no mechanical damage. As for me, they are a little too loud, and they were from the beginning. The rest is fine. Now, however, when the tread has worn off, it's very easy to get into aquaplaning and skid when braking in the wet. That's why I have to look for new tyres. I'm looking for something else. I think it's because of the noise they generate. I don't know what I'll get, maybe the next ones will be quieter. Read more Collapse

The Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 uses innovative 3D groove technology. This innovative tread solution reduces braking distances and braking times both on wet and dry surfaces. The new 3D grooves guarantee effective water dispersal, providing outstanding protection against aquaplaning. The 3D grooves also offer increased tyre stability. The ContiPremiumContact 2 is resistant to deformation, which improves driving comfort and drivability. The benefits of this model include short braking distances on wet and dry surfaces and excellent grip, regardless of the state of the road surface.
