Bridgestone BT 016 PRO

Great tyre. Great price with older technology.......BUT I bought this tyre before a Euro Trip and it only lasted 4000 miles, I barely got home without changing it abroad. I'm no boy racer but a previous Michelin Power 3 ( now discontinued) lasted almost 6000 miles. Excellent handling and grip in dry or wet roads. Only downside is it wears fast. On a Honda CBR1000RR. Bought these as that's what the manufacturer recommends. Never had an issue with bridgestone so stuck with them. I've used these on both road and track. But predominantly track. Running in inters group I find that I can carry on within the group without falling behind, I feel stable in both dry and damp conditions, full on rain I'm not sure. And tyre life seems reasonable. However my next set of tyres with be that of a full slick. Purely so I can compare. I'm happy with these and would definitely buy again. Read more Collapse

Tires are great, after warming up, they are holding asphalt nice. Initially, they were founded in Kawasaki ZX6r, they gave advice very well, after selling the souvenirs I have 800 tourists in Sachsa, and here they are doing sensational. I have been riding a bike for many years now,and I can safely say that Bridgestone tyres give me the confidence to grip in all weather's. I have tried other makes but they didn't inspire confidence in the way that Bridgestone does. Maybe it's a head thing but it works for me. Read more Collapse

having changed from bt023 sports touring to bt016 hypersport tyres the difference was impressive . 016 gives a lot more confidence on corner and braking and has made the bike ( suzuki gsx650f ) a lot more enjoyable. mile age is slightly less that 023 but this is a worthy sacrifice for the improvement it has made to the bike. This comment is for the rear tyre. I bought a pair of 016 Pro to replace some worn-out Michelin CT2s. The previous owner had fitted the wrong section on the back. The switch to the recommended 190/55 along with the non-circular profile has made a huge improvement to the bike handling. Wish I had fitted them ages ago. The improved grip is immediately noticeable, the improved handling is due to the profile shape. All together it has turned my bike into something which I now enjoy riding much more than previously. The rear tread depth does seem to be wearing slightly more than with the old tyre. However I put this down to the rubber being softer and grippier, and also down to the fact that I now feel confident about using more of the 170bhp under my right hand..... :o) Read more Collapse

This report is for the front tyre of a pair. I bought these to replace a pair of worn-out Michelin CT2s. The first thing I noticed was superior grip. This resulted in a huge improvement in my riding confidence, enjoyability and overall driveability. So far I have (accidentally) had one riding experience in the wet, and I did not notice any unexpected behaviour. Some of the improvement is down to fitting the correct rear tyre. Excellent grip, stability, style, corner with confidence including on manhole cover, can take a heavy wrist out of corners, faultless in the dry and in the wet. But they do not last to long I got just over 1000mls from the rear and approximately 1900mls on the front which started to loose its shape. Read more Collapse
