Heidenau K60 Scout is an optically fine tire for touring bikes with 21inch front. Rubble and sand / dirt roads he copes confidently. I mounted the K60 of GS 1200 ADV, the first impression was chilling, I seemed to not be able to ride a bike! At every turn I thought to kill me ... Then after a thousand kilometers things have improved a lot, have proved very agile in changing direction and cornering grip. On dirt behave well, good grip both front and rear. As time I look good, some friends have come even 20k km. Unlike previous tires I had, (metzeler TOURANCE next), the k60 are not radial tires, but diagonal, the difference you notice, (at least on my bike), in the fact that at the highest speeds with braking "to the limit" the motorcycle breaks down a little and it becomes difficult to insert it into the curve. Even on the highway over 150-160 km / h the handlebar tends to "sbacchettare", all of which with the previous tires did not happen. I uses this tyre on a trip through Africa, from Cape Town to Edinburgh, 12.000 miles, 3 month after arriving it's still on the bike. It's a very strong tyre with long durability. That's one of the reasons I got it , I needed a tyre to get me all the way up, and being able to ride off-road and on the road. I am very pleased with these tyres on the road. My ATK605SES is far more stable on tarmac and the available angle of lean from the tyres it's far more than I am willing to explore. The tyre is stable in the wet and inspires relatively fast but safe driving. The tyres are good in moderate terrain but there are clear limitations in grip on mud, but particularly in muddy over-grown tractor tracks. However, this is purely because the tread is not aggressive enough to grip the track edges sufficiently to climb out. This is not the tyres' fault' per se; it is not an enduro tyre with big knobblies! 😊 I had a real problem getting back up a steep narrow track due to it being eroded badly into run upon run of slippery slate steps, some two and a half feet high. Enduro tyres would have helped; the tyres were fine and controllable going down😊. To summarise, these tyres inspire confidence on good to moderate surfaces but have a good escape route planned of venturing into conditions more suited to a full enduro tyre (and your strength and ability). I used these tyres on a 8000 mile trip in 2015 from the UK to Northen Spain then Portugal then Spain then Morocco then back to Spain then Gibraltar then across France and home to the UK The bike was a F800GS 2 up with luggage, apart from Gibraltar we done quite a bit of off road and encounted most road conditions.
