Michelin Pilot Power 3 is a brand new sports tyre which has been introduced by the manufacturer. This is the successor of Power Pure model. Apparently, using the “Power” within the name of the tyre will be a good advertisement towards bikers and bike enthusiasts. The front tyre has been manufactured via well-known 2CT technology while the back one in 2CT+ respectively. The main difference among these tyres consist in that beneath softer layer of sidewall there is harder layer (the proper scheme is provided on the manufacturer’s website).
The improved sidewall has been accomplished via 2CT+ Technology. The new compound also brings about many vital improvements on the field of safety of the driving, such as better grip to the road surface and also better manoeuvrability while cornering. What is more, thanks to a hard compound of tread, applied to Michelin Pilot Power 3, the tread wears-off slower extending tyre’s lifespan. The tyre may be used not only on casual roads, but also it may be used for off-road driving purposes. Apart from the high performance on road, the tyre provides suppressed noise in comparison with the previous models.
The highest rated parameter is: the grip on a dry surface.
This tyre was reviewed by users driving usually outside the city.

Another great tyre from mitchelin.
You couldnt ask for more on the road than these tyres give you. Smooth flowing handling loads of grip in the wet or dry havent felt them squirm or break traction once even when abusing them. Obviously you could find the limits of them on the road in the wet but you would have to be knee down in cold conditions. On track there far better than the pilot power 2ct which are still a good tyre but they did let go me a few times with hard cornering but no such complaints with the power 3.
A good all round tyre choice for those who want good milage and the odd track day..
Had mine on since Nov 2014, done 6000 miles on them every day in rain, snow, gritted roads to hot sunny rides on fast windy b-roads and never had any issues..have them on my R6 and pretty much rag it everywhere...only just needing a replacement on rear now due to wear in middle of tyre reaching limiter..rest of tyre still as new
Excellent grip from cold but once warm they corner like any other tyre I've used. Very responsive and give the rider bags of confidence. I've had the pegs on the floor with these and there is still an inch of unused rubber, chicken strips ;) Can't really comment on wear rate as I've only used them for 400 miles so far.
Sporty street riding in all weathers! Corners great in wet as long as you don't go on that slick edge . track day performance is spot on!!, out cornering some slick tyre riders. If running for the track at 28psi front and back. Great long lasting tyre.
I searched for a while trying to decide what tyres to put on my R1. I eventually settled on the PP3's and to date I cannot fault them.
They give me confidence to push into the corners and I have not had any 'moments' with them.
Will use again.
