Reinforced tyres offer the possibility of using higher pressures than normal tyres, thus increasing the maximum load rating. Reinforced tyres are designated with the XL (Extra Load) symbol. They are best suited to vehicles that are often driven under heavy loads, such as VANs or pick-ups.
