My previous tyre - the Ultra Grip 7 - brilliant! When it comes to Ultra Grip 8 - for now - great disappointment! It is mainly due to constant loss of grip when trying to set off in snow or on ice and, what is really outrageous, in the wet (even after a drizzle). Another issue is braking in the snow. ABS kicks in with the slightlest touch of the brake pedal. I really don't trust them any more. Once more, the goodyear Ultra Grip 8 is a big, big disappointment and I honestly wouldn't recommed it to anyone. In this price range I think I would go for Continentals.

I bought Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 and I was very positively suprised. In general I recommend them! If you have a few pounds more I would rather suggest to buy Ultra Grip 8. During winter I was in German Alps with my familly (3 ppl) and a roof box on my car and I had no problems with clibimg on to a 15% hill fully covered with snow in the temperature of -20 celsius. On the autobahn with speeds over 120MPH they worked perfectly as well. They did not disappoint me even once during whole winter. Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 are just exellent.

After using the previous model, Ultra Grip 7, I bought the new Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 without even reading any reviews (and still not many were available at that time). After having done a few thousand miles in Winter I can honestly recommend this latest model. No matter what the conditions are: snow, slush, wet - Ultra Grip copes extemely well. The handling inspires confidence and I am certain that I made a right choice. Recommend to all of you!

Buying emergency in the middle of winter when irreversible damage to one of the already bald tires, which have to withstand the spring .Wybór some of the case but I'm not disappointed though never ridden on goodyearach. I recommend these tires do not admit, however, that prompted me to buy promotional price level of budget tires "no name no quality" rolling resistance can not properly assess but I think the car less fuel. Noise but not a parameter for me because I listen to loud HEAVY METAL :)

Tires had founded the winter season 2013/2014. Were doing great. Moving in the wet or snow is not a problem. It was worse when braking during downhill gradients in the packed snow and the road of windblown snow. There were only 2 cases for the whole season. Moreover, in urban traffic and out of town, or the sun or the rain the car ran comfortably. Their volume is not bothered.

Product description

Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 205/55 R16 91 H MFS

The presented tyre is marked with 3PMSF symbol (Three Peak Mountain Snow Flake). It means that the tyre meets the EU requirements for winter tyres. The symbol is awarded after thorough tests of a tyre model in terms of snow grip.

A premium winter tyre. It was produced for drivers who look for the best performance in tough winter conditions. Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 is the successor of Goodyear Ultra Grip 7 +, the award tests winner by an independent German organization ADAC, and the magazine "Autobild", "Auto Motor und Sport" and British "Auto Express". Engineers were able to enhance performance of the tyre, compared to the previous model Ultra Grip 7 +: - reduced stopping distances on wet roads by 4% (on the asphalt with a low coefficient of friction), - increased resistance to aquaplaning on the winding, wet roads, by 16%, - shortened braking distance on snow by 3% and increased traction on snowy roads by 5%.

Features of Goodyear Ultra Grip 8: efficient braking. An aggressive, directional tread pattern with BIS (Block Interlocked System) 3D system on the entire surface ensures short braking distances. Very good adhesion on various types of surfaces and low wear Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 tyre is made of the rubber mixture with silica and special polymers, which ensures good traction on variable surface types (snow, ice, mud, dry road) and even, slow wear of the tread. Excellent performance at low temperatures. In the production of rubber for Goodyear Ultra Grip 8, the manufacturer used elastic rubber, which retains its properties under extreme conditions.

Fuel economy and low CO2 emissions. Advanced construction of Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 offers low rolling resistance. Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company is one of the world's largest tyre manufacturers. It was founded in 1898, and in 1926 it became the largest producer of rubber. Goodyear's offer also includes other chemical and rubber products. The company conducts commercial activities worldwide.

Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 winter tyre is classified as premium tyre, which means that it provides modern technology and maximum performance.

Fuel efficiency (rolling distance)

Fuel efficiency is rated from A to G on a colour-coded scale. The highest fuel efficiency rating is A (green; the lowest rolling resistance), while the lowest fuel efficiency rating is G (red; the highest rolling resistance). Rolling resistance influences fuel consumption and vehicle emissions; the lower the resistance, the lower the fuel consumption and exhaust fume emissions.

Wet grip

Wet grip is the tyre's ability to adhere to the road surface in wet conditions. The EU rating focuses only on the wet braking performance of the tyre. Wet grip is rated from A to G, where A represents the best braking performance and G represents the worst. It is one of the most crucial safety parameters.

Noise

Tyres contribute to the amount of noise a vehicle generates. Choosing a tyre with a good noise rating will lower the impact of your driving on the surrounding environment.
