It was perfectly designed by Michelin technology as a Dynamic Response tyre. It has asymmetric ultra-responsive grooves that balance forces acting across the whole tyre, made of two types of rubbers. The tread has internal steel belts with nylon spacers which ensure stable driving even at speeds of 300 km/h. In addition, the tread has a directional shape to prevent aquaplaning, making it unbeatable both in wet and dry conditions.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S are the result of using an innovative rubber compound with the addition of silica and elastomers. They are designed to provide comfort and to meet the needs of drivers who enjoy safe, but sporty and dynamic driving in all conditions. They have optimal grip, ensure short braking distances, and their design prolongs tyre service life by up to 12% on the rear axle. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S was developed by the best engineers and manufacturers of prestigious cars (BMW, Mercedes and Porsche). The tread was co-designed by designers inspired by exercises of Formula E and WRC. The tyre was also thoroughly tested on Formula 1 tracks. As a result, it ensures uniform distribution of forces even during extreme driving.
Michelin is an undeniable market leader. From the very beginning in 1889, the company has been a leader in developing new tyre technologies, expanding its product offer. Currently, the company manufactures tyres for passenger cars, SUVs, vans and several luxury car models. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is fitted as standard on the Porsche 911, Cayman and Boxster. Furthermore, Bugatti Veyron used these tyres and reached the stunning speed of 400km/h, beating the speed record on a closed track. The brand won many races and in the season of 2005 and 2006 it cooperated with the Renault team, which was the winner of F1.
