I really like Continental tyres for the good all round grip they give, especially in the wet. The Contact 5 tyres understeer a bit more than I expected when I first fitted them on the front driving wheels but I got used to the handling and now have more confidence to corner at speed like I usually do. Will use again
really good tyres .quiet good on the wet road :)
I'm very pleased with these tyres.
Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 205/60 R16 92 V RUN ON FLAT *
The Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 is a premium-range summer tyre designed for passenger cars. The tyre is made using the latest technology, which reduces braking distances and improves drivability.
The Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 also offers reduced rolling resistance and thus lower fuel consumption. The special asymmetric tread provides a range of performance features and guarantees optimal performance on any surface, whatever the weather.
Optimised 3D edges significantly reduce braking distances. The tyre also has large blocks providing vehicle stability (a solution from the ContiSportContact 5 model), while the carcass taken from the ContiEcoContact 5 guarantees improved driving comfort.
Information about the manufacturer:
Continental is a German tyre manufacturer and one of the largest groups in the industry. The company was founded in 1871, with tyre production starting in 1892. The company is currently the second largest tyre manufacturer in Europe and the fourth largest worldwide. It specialises in the production of HP (High Performance) and UHP (Ultra High Performance) tyres. Continental factories produce tyres for passenger cars, vans, lorries, agricultural vehicles, bicycles and motorcycles. The group owns brands including: Semperit, Barum and Uniroyal.
Fuel efficiency is rated from A to G on a colour-coded scale. The highest fuel efficiency rating is A (green; the lowest rolling resistance), while the lowest fuel efficiency rating is G (red; the highest rolling resistance). Rolling resistance influences fuel consumption and vehicle emissions; the lower the resistance, the lower the fuel consumption and exhaust fume emissions.
Wet grip is the tyre's ability to adhere to the road surface in wet conditions. The EU rating focuses only on the wet braking performance of the tyre. Wet grip is rated from A to G, where A represents the best braking performance and G represents the worst. It is one of the most crucial safety parameters.
Tyres contribute to the amount of noise a vehicle generates. Choosing a tyre with a good noise rating will lower the impact of your driving on the surrounding environment.
