Scale of scores: Highest lowest

Very good performance on dry pavement, a noise level 2 dB lower than the previous model, and a sleek design are just some of the advantages of the Bridgestone Turanza 6 summer tyre. It is a premium product for passenger cars and SUVs.

Tests carried out by TÜV SÜD on tracks in Germany and Italy has confirmed the Turanza 6 tyres' high resistance to aquaplaning both on the straight road and when taking corners. The Japanese manufacturer's new model also performed very well in the category of braking on water-covered asphalt.

An innovation, compared to the previous model of the Turanza line, is the versatility of the tyres. Bridgestone's new product is compatible with cars equipped with conventional power units as well as those with electric motors and hybrids. As a result, driving vehicles with higher torque and heavy batteries does not significantly shorten the lifespan of the tyres.

The model proves that it is possible to combine good traction in all conditions with economy and ecology. Indeed, the Turanza 6 performs very well in terms of wet grip, as well as in the categories of combustion and acoustic perception.

Behind the uniqueness of the model lies the cutting-edge technology and creativity of Bridgestone's designers. Features of this innovative product include:

  • optimum water drainage and best wet performance, thanks to the new rubber compound;
  • increased local tread stiffness thanks to double slanted 3d sipes, which reduces the risk of slipping;
  • grooves to reduce aquaplaning, extending into the shoulder area;
  • a reduction in weight and aerodynamic drag, affects the car's fuel requirements compared to the previous model.

    I've been buying Bridgestone tyres for a dozen years now and with each newer model the fun of driving gets better and better. I bought the latest generation of tyres this year and have so far driven over 10000 km on them. I am very impressed with the excellent grip on both dry and wet surfaces. The tyres are quiet and do not vibrate at high speeds. Dynamic cornering and braking in the wet are not a problem and do not cause a feeling of danger or uncertainty behind the wheel. Previously, I drove the Turanza T005 and I must say that the difference is huge in every parameter compared. In summary, if you drive a lot and want safety and an irresistible feeling of comfort, there is no need to save money by choosing a tyre from another product class or company - the Bridgestone Turanza 6 is the only right choice :-) Read more Collapse

    After about 7k km so far the driving experience is very good. Previously, I drove the Turanza T001 and think they were a bit softer, but I don't remember if they had a protective rim. It is possible that these are harder because of this. The tyre is new so so far everything is good, I haven't had any slippage on the highway exits so they stick well. At firs,t the difference I noticed from the previous tyres was the low rolling resistance. You could feel that the car was propelling itself even on a slight decline without the help of the engine, and the tyres didn't get in the way. A nice feeling. When I bought them, there were few reviews of this tyre, but I took a chance and so far I am satisfied. Recommended. Read more Collapse

    Very good. This is the third set I have owned. Upon receiving of the shipment, I was positively surprised by the weight and the softness of the rubber. Subjectively speaking, it's a huge difference from the Turanza 5, which I bought (unfortunately) a few months earlier. No surprises in their usage - nothing to complain about. The previous bridgestones did a lot of km - I replaced them due to age rather than wear and tear, as long as the durability on those is the same, I see no drawbacks. Plus they look good and have a large protective rim. I also considered Uniroyal, but chose (due to better durability) brdgestones Read more Collapse

    I have recently become the owner of a Seat Leon III estate car on which I will be doing around 20-25,000 km a year, and as such I needed tyres that would give me confidence behind the wheel. After driving about 5,000 km, I can say that this tyre is of really high quality. Yes, it can be forced to skid on wet roads, but you really have to put in an effort. The braking distance is short, and on bends, going downhill, you can push the accelerator and not be afraid of slipping. The tyres are very quiet. Overall, if I were to buy them again, I would definitely take them. Read more Collapse

    If you are looking for good tyres, this is a good choice. After 10,000 kilometres I can feel a significant difference between this model and models from other top companies. While the difference on dry roads is not noticeable, on wet roads it is massive. Braking distances, aquaplaning, crossing railroad tracks or dynamic start on the traffic lights are all areas where there is a noticeable positive difference. In addition, you will forget about tyre noise. If you want safety and comfort, these are the tyres for you. Read more Collapse

    The tyres are performing superbly. Compared to the earlier Pilot Sport 4s they are much quieter and the fuel consumption on the road is a little, although noticeably, lower. I know these tyres are in different leagues, but I think the earlier tyres were not chosen appropriately for a car with an undersized two-litre diesel. I would recommend the Bridgestones, they are quiet, and with the quattro I have never had it ever lose grip, and I sometimes like to go a bit faster :) Read more Collapse

    Very good tyres. Well warmed up on dry pavement, they do not buckle even when starting with the gas pedal pushed to the floor and traction control off. I have not yet tested the limits on bends, but dynamic cornering is not a problem. The big surprise is behaviour on the wet. Much better grip than my previous Michelin Pilot Sport 4. Both at the start and in corners. A thoroughly successful purchase. Time will tell what the durability will be. Read more Collapse

    The tyres stick to the road very well. The noise level is sensational, the tyres cannot be heard at all. The tyres are very soft, the comfort level is higher than on previous tyres. The tyre sidewalls could be stiffer. Due to the fact that the sides are soft, there is unfortunately a slight delay in the transmission of movements from the steering. With the previous stiffer tyres, precision was greater. Something for something. Read more Collapse

    Very quiet tyres. Much quieter than the Continental tyres that were fitted when I bought the car. At the beginning of the car's life, the car was not very precise at higher speeds (over 180 km), which disappointed me at first. Fortunately, after about a thousand kilometres they started to behave much better. I have now covered about 11,000 km with these tyres and can honestly recommend them. Read more Collapse

    Overall I would recommend them - the tyre holds up great in the wet and ok in the dry. The only thing that needs to be pointed out is that I have had difficulty getting them to balance perfectly, in a very low speed range they still vibrate, even after rebalancing twice - I have read that this may be the 'norm' in domains of this type (A/A) for electric/hybrid cars. Great tyre, I was thinking about buying, I was considering other brands, I needed a premium tyre but at a price commensurate with the quality, quiet, soft with a classic tread design. I found all this in the new BRIDGESTONE TURANZA 6. I think I made a great choice, as comfort is the most important thing for me. A tyre worth recommending, it really is worth it. Read more Collapse

    I have been using Bridgestone for years on motorbikes and cars. I have tested all the premium brands. The Turanza 6 supposedly have new technology and are even more durable, which I will be able to judge with time. Track tests look promising. When it comes to quality and price, only Bridgestone or a little more expensive Michelin can compete. Read more Collapse

    I switched from Debica to Bridgestone and you can feel the change especially in the wet. On dry you really have to overdo it to get into a skid. Even so, it doesn't slip like the Debica. As for durability it's hard to say because it's only the first season. I'll have a comparison after 3 years as the Debica Presto cracked after that long. Read more Collapse

    For the first 500km, the tyres had to get a bit worn-in, which made me feel a little insecure, for example when entering a bend.
