I can only say what a great tyre in the wet and snow. My Evoque came with Pirelli Scorpions, a well promoted and respected tyre but within the first couple of days driving on the Nokian all weather in the rain I found my confidence in the Land Rover handling was markedly higher. In the dry the grip is extremely high and precise. Not an easy tyre to find in the UK due to its lack of exposure but in the continent it is well know and seems to have a god reputation. I will definitely be buying these tyres in the future.

Happy with these. Car feels gripped to the road, have confidence in their ability. Couldn't say whether they are quieter because whats a few decibels, however, they are no noticeably noisy.

Very quiet tyres on good road surfaces. Wet grip is excellent. Car is quieter on the highway and feels very secure. Can't wait for some winter weather to assess their winter capability.

I can only speak about these tyres in comparison to several years of at-s geoladers, so also universal ones. I changed tyres despite the quite high tread. after the first icy snow it was simply impossible to ride (effortless drift). The first surprise was a significant reduction in noise over the entyre speed range. On dry surfaces, these are the best tyres I've had (over 20 years of driving different cars), virtually no aquaplaning on puddles 5-7cm, speed 60km / h. The disadvantage is very strong water dissipation - the dirt on the rear window is incomparably greater than the previous ones. at the moment I find, after solid snowfall, that traction and braking on even snow is safe - of course within reason. certainly hold better than the winter oak trees I had in the previous car. when it comes to fuel consumption testing on the same route the same vehicle with geo at-s tyres with roughly the same pace, fuel consumption dropped by about 0.7 l / 100km

Wanted an all year all season tyre and this one comes out well in the tests. Only had them a short time and it's been wet and warm this winter so far so can't give a definitive opinion on much really!. However, good driving feel on the motorway, sure footed in the wet, comfortable and quiet. Confident that it will handle any UK snow or slush well. Hard driving in summer would be nowhere near as good as a dedicated summer tyre but then that's the same for all blocky tread patterns.

Product description

Nokian WeatherProof SUV 235/60 R18 107 V XL

Nokian is a Finland-based tyre manufacturer. One of its achievements in the motoring industry was introducing the winter tyre to the market. These days, it is known for producing tyres designed specifically for difficult atmospheric conditions. Its tyres are most popular in Northern Europe, Mid-Eastern Europe, Russia and North America.

Nokian WeatherProof SUV are premium all-season tyres. They offer optimal performance in SUV vehicles thanks to their durable build and good performance in varied conditions.

The manufacturer describes the Nokian WeatherProof SUV model as a tyre of many talents. Its biggest strengths include expelling slush and water. As a result, the car is less prone to aquaplaning. The central part of the tread, in conjunction with the wide circumferential grooves, collect water and mud and quickly push it away to the sides. This, in effect, increases stability when driving in difficult atmospheric conditions.

The Nokian WeatherProof SUV tyres are made of an elastic rubber compound, which ensures good grip in a wide range of temperatures and protects against increased wear, even in larger and heavier SUVs.

Logo Nokian

The Nokian WeatherProof SUV model was tested in varied road conditions. Its winter parameters were tested to the north of the Polar Circle, in the town of Ivole, and its behaviour during dynamic driving was put to a test on tracks in Germany and Spain.

  • C

Fuel efficiency (rolling distance)

Fuel efficiency is rated from A to G on a colour-coded scale. The highest fuel efficiency rating is A (green; the lowest rolling resistance), while the lowest fuel efficiency rating is G (red; the highest rolling resistance). Rolling resistance influences fuel consumption and vehicle emissions; the lower the resistance, the lower the fuel consumption and exhaust fume emissions.

Wet grip

Wet grip is the tyre's ability to adhere to the road surface in wet conditions. The EU rating focuses only on the wet braking performance of the tyre. Wet grip is rated from A to G, where A represents the best braking performance and G represents the worst. It is one of the most crucial safety parameters.

Noise

Tyres contribute to the amount of noise a vehicle generates. Choosing a tyre with a good noise rating will lower the impact of your driving on the surrounding environment.
