At the beginning I was quite sceptical about the brand and the Nokian V in particular. After the first miles in which I pointed out the lack of rolling noise and lower fuel consumption. I started in the VW Passat and so far the only drawback that I discovered it so that they can make a noise while braking hard(previous Continental Sport did not) from higher speeds. The Nokian V behave very nicely in the rain. Virtually there is no pulling when overcoming puddles, and the marks left behind the car are significant, which may indicate a large discharge of water and adhesion to grow.
I drive Volvo V50 2.0D . The appearance of the Nokian V tyre does not have any meaning for me.I commute to work to another town (20000miles a year). I depend on good properties mainly in the wet. I go rather quickly and I sometimes at full speed I meet a large puddle. The Nokian V tyre works on wet very good. Silence and comfort positively surprised me. On the dry im not driving like crazy but the tyres perform well. My previous tyres Conitnental ContiPremiumContact2 were comparable on a dry, but significantly worse on wet.
I had a few sets of tyres in life but Nokian V characteristics are amazing. It is the only tyre that does not towed when starting on wet roads. Super behavior in the wet (large grooves do their job) as well as on dry (holidays spent in Croatia). Good grip in the corners and superb braking (braking from 200 km / h on the highway very precise). I drove them about 10 thousand. miles and not see signs of wear. I have a new car aswell and have Continentals on it, but I think Nokian V is better so why overpay?
I bought these Nokian V tyres a year ago for VW Caddy, they are nice, they have a good grip on dry and wet but not suitable for heavy vehicles (in my Caddy which often weight more than 2t).The noise started after 8000miles I would prefer to sell them for half price because going on them for a long jurney can give you a headache becouse of the noise. Nokian V shouldnt come up with an index of 95, because it suggests that it is suitable for heavy car, and in my opinion is only suitable for tow trucks.
The Nokian V tyres for the first 7000miles very well fulfill their job. After that distance on wet roads they lose traction. In my opinion, as in Continentals they put a strong emphasis on the ribs which clash themselves explicitly reducing contact with the road. In summary the Nokian V tyres are highly recommended, but if someone like me, drives a lot, should think about the harder tyres with thicker tread.
