Nokian Powerproof 235/45 R19 99 W XL
The summer model Nokian Powerproof is designed for high performance sports cars. As befits a premium product, it offers the best performance, especially in the often changing European conditions that can be really demanding.
The tread has been made of several rubber mixtures with different properties. Clinch technology, applied around the tyre bead, affects driving comfort and reduced rolling resistance. Thanks to the Dynamic Grip solution, the tyres retain excellent traction in changing conditions, and the lifetime of the model is extended.
The tread not only looks good but also has certain functions. Trapezoidal incisions in the central ribs and external grooves excellently protect against aquaplaning. The water is thrown out from under the tyre, thanks to which the car is steady - even at high speeds. In addition, the outer shoulders were reinforced and the tread pattern was refined in such a way that the tyre responds quickly to steering commands.
Nokian is one of the most popular brands of premium tyres. The company was created in Finland, which is why it particularly draws attention to the adaptation of tyres to extreme conditions.
Fuel efficiency is rated from A to G on a colour-coded scale. The highest fuel efficiency rating is A (green; the lowest rolling resistance), while the lowest fuel efficiency rating is G (red; the highest rolling resistance). Rolling resistance influences fuel consumption and vehicle emissions; the lower the resistance, the lower the fuel consumption and exhaust fume emissions.
Wet grip is the tyre's ability to adhere to the road surface in wet conditions. The EU rating focuses only on the wet braking performance of the tyre. Wet grip is rated from A to G, where A represents the best braking performance and G represents the worst. It is one of the most crucial safety parameters.
Tyres contribute to the amount of noise a vehicle generates. Choosing a tyre with a good noise rating will lower the impact of your driving on the surrounding environment.
