The Goodyear Efficientgrip Cargo summer tyre tread was made from a compound of rubber with silica and a cool cushion layer in its interior. The addition of silica improves tyre stiffness and results in lower rolling resistance, reduced CO2 emissions and more economical tyre wear. Tyre wear turns out to be even and slow. Moreover, the cool cushion layer significantly reduces the rolling resistance by 18%.
Characteristic features of the tread are the double-wide circumferential grooves, wide lateral channels and multiple siping on the tyre shoulder. The tyre collects water exceptionally well and ensures perfect drainage, which results in better aquaplaning resistance.

Manufactured using the thin cross section technology, the tyre has short braking distances on any type of surface. This allows for reaching high speed, also when cornering, while not compromising on safety. It also reduces the costs of car use and maintenance. Additionally, the Goodyear Efficientgrip Cargo guarantees exceptionally quiet performance. The tyres are light, durable and relatively hard. It is estimated that thanks to the innovative rubber compound each tyre is lighter by 5%. The energy absorption layer reduces tyre heat but does not reduce its rolling value, which means it does not provoke the braking effect, especially on hot surface.
All these solutions, tested on some of the world’s best test tracks, enable you to drive up to 10,000 km more in comparison with mileage available with the previous generation.
