Bridgestone Blizzak NV

3PMSF The presented tyre is marked with 3PMSF symbol (Three Peak Mountain Snow Flake). It means that the tyre meets the EU requirements for winter tyres. The symbol is awarded after thorough tests of a tyre model in terms of snow grip.

The Bridgestone Blizzak NV tyre has been specifically designed by the Bridgestone Group together with the BMW Group for the BMW i3 with electric drive. The model is the culmination of the Japanese-owned brand's many years of experience in manufacturing tyres. The product therefore guarantees balanced performance in every conceivable type of winter weather. It provides outstanding durability for everyday driving and delivers effective dispersal of the various obstacles encountered on winter roads (snow, slush, water).

The tyre was designed using "ologic" technology, which means a larger diameter and narrower tread width than is otherwise typical for vehicle tyres. This combination provides the Blizzak NV with even better protection against deformations and consumes less energy during operation, resulting in low rolling resistance. The narrow profile guarantees enhanced aerodynamics. The most important benefits of this tyre include low rolling resistance and outstanding grip on wet roads. The "ologic" technology is also apparent in the unique Multicell compounds, which ensure excellent grip on ice and rapid dispersal of layers of water from the point of contact between the tyre and the road thanks to special micro-bubbles. The Bridgestone Blizzak NV ologic model is one of a range of solutions intended to cut CO2 emissions by 50% by 2050.

Bridgestone is a Japanese group that manufactures premium-range tyres. The brand has worked together with BMW for over 17 years, both on and off the race track. Many of the tyre models manufactured by the company during this time were designed to be fitted as standard on BMW vehicles. Both companies have also joined forces to create a driver training programme known as the BMW Driving Experience. The Japanese-owned Bridgestone company is now an exclusive development partner for the BMW i3.
