Scale of scores: Highest lowest

Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125 is the successor to the Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115, and compared to its predecessor it achieves about 12% better handling on dry roads, 13% better handling on a wet road, a few percent better braking on dry and wet roads too.

hankook

Hankook have created a tyre with the perfect balance between performance and security. All indications are that they have succeeded. Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125 is a tyre that the braking distance in the wet was shortened by up to 8% compared to the previous model. This was achieved, first of all, with 4 wide circumferential grooves for optimized wet performance. These grooves are different depths and this increases the rigidity of the tyre and improves the performance on wet roads. This design also reduces aquaplaning risks.

Hanook prime

With the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125 the Korean manufacturer decided to increase the stiffness of the pads and the tyre contact with the road. This in turn means that the tyre has excellent stability and short braking distances on dry roads.

A characteristic feature of the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125 is its optimized profile. This allows the tyre to obtain a high performance during dynamic driving. Important elements on this tyre model are a closed outer rib or rib type tread. These elements combine to provide excellent stability, especially at high speeds. Furthermore, the rib tread design provides better manoeuvrability, and it also reduces the rolling resistance.

logo Hankook

Hankook was founded in 1941 and this very successful brand meant that more than 30 years later it has become the seventh largest tyre manufacturer.

    Opinion from outside the UK

Driving mainly in city traffic, 3-4 times a week on expressway about 20 km sections at 120-140 km/h. One trip to Croatia, 2700 km. In my opinion, the tyres are second to none on wet roads in this price range. I rate them better than the highly praised by users and the media Uniroyal Rainsport 3 because of the stiffer sidewall, which in tight bends on the expressway at the speed limit of 70 km/h (curve taken at 100-120, depending on conditions) gives a greater sense of stability and predictability of the vehicle's behavior - the tyre does not lie down. In addition, the Hankook has a protective rim edge, which the Uniroyal unfortunately lacks. The only thing that is slightly inferior to the Uniroyal is the appearance of the tread, but for me this is of marginal importance. On dry pavement, also referring to the aforementioned Uniroyal, both behave similarly well. Both, in a fast, very tight turn on a city road, lose traction (start to flow) at a similar moment. Taking into account the fact that in our climate about 50% of days have precipitation and all the above-mentioned advantages, my next choice for a daily car would be Hankook Ventus Prime K125. I would definitely recommend this tyre to a user who likes quiet driving, as well as a slightly more aggressive style. Very predictable and safe. Read more Collapse

New tyres I've bought this year. I will publish the opinion despite the fact that I made a bit over 10 miles on them because of the small number of reviews. Generally a very cool tyre, quieter than the Bridgestone that I've had before. When it comes to economics, I can not say anything because I can not see the difference. Now a bit about driving: the tyres are not loud and they stick well to the surface. I drove on them as the temperature dropped below 5 degrees and last weekend when the air temperature in the shade reached almost 30 degrees. Zero nervousness, slips and other problems. In the corner stable (although I am not really a rally driver). Rainy weather hit a few times but a great downpour passed once. Albeit with bikes on the roof so it was not fast but equally stable. Susceptibility to damage: it happened that when I towed another vehicle I drove to the curb (quite high and sharp). When the wheel was turned by a tyre, the side wall leaned against the rim and nothing, neither a bump nor scratches on the rim, even that I was sure that something has been damaged. So far, only a few miles have been traveled and very few critical situations. Read more Collapse

As it is a complete novelty on the market, I have these tyres only since the beginning of this season and so far I am very pleased. I have absolutely no objections to grip on both dry and wet surfaces. Inequality seems to be suppressed very well, and the appearance does not leave much to be desired - the tyres look very good, although the picture looked even better ;) The main drawback seems to be the noise, but it is certainly not serious enough to give up purchase of these great, and what's more, quite cheap for the first class tyres. We have here, most importantly, the highest A grade in wet conditions and C class in rolling resistance. The noise level is 2 in a 3-point scale, so everything is given in black and white. As far as I know, in the is price class it is absolutely the best result, which is probably matched only by Uniroyal Rain Expert 3 tyres. When it comes to durability, it is obviously too early to evaluate this parameter, while reading user feedback on previous versions of this manufacturer's tyres I am calm and convinced that these tyres will serve me for about 5 seasons. Looking for tyres for a long time, I found the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125 tyres. I made a purchase not only because of the low price, but it made me think it is a novelty. Every novelty must stand out among others with something that others do not have. And it was a hit. Superb tyres, stick to the road surface on dry and no wet, there is no differences felt in both cases. Just a revelation. I often travel on the roads covered with holes and the suppression of inequalities is excellent. In addition, I can admit that they are quieter than other well-known brands. I trust Hankook, it always works. Tyres are not only attractive in price but thanks to the use of modern production technology they are very reliable in driving and have a shorter braking distance compared to their previous predecessors. Therefore Hankook develops its tyres in every aspect. I can also add that the combustion has decreased and the driving is comfortable and, most importantly, the safety have improved. I have only recently bought these tyres. But I can already say a few good words about them. The dry or wet road are no deference - a revelation! I was afraid they might be too delicate for a heavy car. But I was wrong. I'm very happy with the purchase. I have novelty tyres that stick to the asphalt well so that driving is nice and pleasant. On the inside of the car only the engine can be heard. I will never buy tyres that were used in my lifetime. Even cheaper tyres. Brand new tyres beat the rest all over. The opinion is as honest as possible. Someone may not agree, because everyone likes something deferent. In my opinion on a scale of 0-10, i give them 9+. I will not give a full 10 only because I have not driven enough. I once bought a Fulda ecocontrol for 200 pounds and there was absolutely no difference. If I have to buy a set of tyres again, it will definitely buy new Hankook tyres :) Read more Collapse

Hello. I would like to share my opinion about the tyres used by me. Before buying, I had a big problem with my choice. I knew ventus prime 2 and I was happy with them. Next I bought new Hankooks. The choice was accurate!!! Maybe the car does not have a speed demon, the size is 205/50R17 and it's a heavy car and yet the use of these tyres is pure pleasure. They do not make noise, on the dry surfaces they're great, fine in the corners. The driving is safe on the wet asphalt , car does not slip, no breaks, predictable driving, the car does not escape. Signs of wear are not visible yet. I drive 80 miles to work every day and for such use these tyres are great. I bought them in winter, so the price was very good. I recommend everyone who have a similar problem with the choice of the tyres. You will not regret it!!! Read more Collapse

I use these tyres only briefly, but I have already made a small opinion. In the city I do not have the grip in the corners - the traction control can be ignited on a dry surface with aggressive driving. I have a little less confidence in it. As for the wet surface you can almost forget that it was raining (if someone does not have oil in head even amazing tyres will not help). Braking for a big plus. When it comes to starts, it's hard to get to 100 miles and not lose the traction ;) On the road I traveled about 650 miles. The tyres stick to the road, noise is not noticeable, certainly do not bother me. In an emergency situation they led me out of trouble when I pulled to the side (gravel). I did not notice much combustion changes if it increased or decreased. After over 650 miles the tread is like new. Read more Collapse

Very good tyre for wet and dry roads! Durable, I am obviously comparing km to tread condition. Holds well in corners, dynamic of course, braking superb, even better in the wet, within reasonable speed limits. The only micro minus is the comfort, but as consolation I can say that my neighbour on a new Volvo with Michelin Primacy 3 is even less satisfied, and I write this because the previous tyres on this car were Michelin Primacy HP - they died after 35 thousand miles. At this price it is really worth it, paying extra for the inscription does not make any sense. I have used 4 "super" brands in a smaller size and I will never go back to this topic. For the difference in price you can have 2 sets at the same time. Read more Collapse

I have these tyres for about a month, I have traveled a few thousand mileson them and, to be honest with you, they are perfect for me. I do not judge the tread wear here because I can't check it. I am not interested in the noise or rolling resistance, they are definitely "in the norm". The most important thing is the grip which is perfect. I have not yet had any unplanned skidding of the car on these tyres and I must admit that I happened to overdo the overtaking on arches several times (classic passing around 0,3 miles but on the curve) these tyres keep the car on course driving independently at 40 or 90 mph. Grip on dry or wet surface is great. Best regards. I recommend these tyres :) Bartek Read more Collapse

On previous tyres of another company, I felt the car slipping. I rode on branded Chinese tyres, also on English once and other inventions, but ... I feel more secure on these tyres. No skidding on wet or dry surfaces, good side grip for more aggressive driving, for example on the tighter curves of the road. When it comes to the noise, I did not find it excessive or burdensome, you can not hear the tyres. When it comes to combustion, the car burns as much fuel I'll pour. I never paid much attention to such comparisons because how much will I save? 100 grams? After driving about 2000 miles with a clear conscience I can recommend them especially for such price. Tyre is quiet, very soft, I had the impression that my back is running slightly behind the corner at a higher speed, but after the tyre setteled the impression is great and tyres keep stick to the road. I did not notice reduced combustion. I drive moderately, 50/50 city route. I had a dilemma whether to buy tyres with the width of 215 or 205 for Vectra C. I wondered if 205 will not be too narrow. The difference in price between these widths is quite significant. I will definitely buy 205 for the winter. The appearance of the tyre is a plus. It's not crazy, but it's not a bad look. General opinion very good. I honestly recommend these tyres. Read more Collapse

I had the pleasure of driving on Uniroyal Rain Sport and many others but these tyres are for me a revelation. I wanted to squeal with sharp braking or starting - you can not, at least I have not succeeded yet. I have a Saab 150 horspower, so there is some power. On dry the car goes like on tracks, on a wet surface it is not enough that the water streaks behind the car. It is very good. I have wondered for a long time whether to buy them, but now I would buy them again without hesitation. Even my friend recommended them as he has saab, but he has 210 horspower and I am also happy with them. I RECOMMEND THEM TRULY. Read more Collapse

Currently, I bought the tyres for the back, because the previous ones have worn out due to the longer operation on the damaged rear suspension (there was no time to put the car down for the replacement of the suspension). Previously I had two sets of hankook's, on which I made a total of 45k miles in the city and on the route in a Mercedes c combo 163HP. Always reliable, they hold well and I think they also look very nice (although apparently it's a strange thing to say about the tyres) In the rain hold well despite the fact that I prefer rather aggressive driving style. I recommend them honestly to everyone. Read more Collapse

I bought this tyre searching for descriptions on the internet. I did not travel more than 750 miles, only on dry surfaces. I had previously the Uniroyal's, which were quickly used, but they were exemplary in the rain. I hope that Hankooks will also hold well. I value them for gluing to the surface (even under the finger I feel unusual adhesion), good price and low abrasiveness. They are not loud, they're quiet during driving. What is important, they do not squeak during the cornering and have an acceptable tread pattern. At the end, the M3 uses Hankooks track racing. The price does not ruin your pocket! Tyres are worth the price. I have these tyres for a month and have traveled over 620 miles. I was already focused on buying Continentals but I was persuaded to buy a new Hankook model. I do not regret. Thanks to that I now have a few pennies in my pocket. Up to 60mph tyres are fairly quiet, comfortable - above, a little bit loud. Good grip on dry and wet surfaces. They are certainly safe. The only downside of the tyres, which I felt, was an increase in fuel consumption by a liter. I can not speak about durability for a while because I took too little distance. I recommend to all undecided! Read more Collapse

Very fast reaction on dry surfaces. It does not matter if it is a corner or a sharp braking on a straight line. In wet, very predictable. The tyres have deep center grooves and two at a different depth outside. I tried them during heavy rainfall. They are new of course. Jaw dropped when it comes to braking performance or cornering. I chose them also because of their high durability. In the tests they gave 24 thousand miles in comparison to Continental which has 18 thousand miles. I recommend them a lot. Read more Collapse

I can compare these tyres to the Kleber Dynaxer, although the other once were15 ". Hankook have similar properties. The only minus is that they are louder when accelerating and braking (but quickly got used to it). I'm driving on them confidently, brakes well, in tight corners they stick well. I drive a lot in different weather conditions and I can say that they drain water very well. They do very well on a dry surface. I recommend them to everyone. Read more Collapse

The tyres have done 1000 miles, the handling characteristics are very ok in all respects, however compared to the Nokian winter tyres removed they are quite noisy. The fuel consumption of the winter tyres was very economical, but considering the warmer conditions, the tyres are quite OK. The tread pattern in the photos is much better, but it is not a tragedy. Overall I recommend, if they were a bit quieter it would be perfect. Read more Collapse

I only use premium tyres, usually continental premium contact 5. I checked review sites and found that these tyres were scoring equal to the tyres I purchase. At the time the continental tyres were priced at £130 per tyre fitted, oponeo supplied these for a fraction of that price it then cost £10 per tyre to fit saving me a fortune. I can honestly say these are better than the continental tyres I have been buying for years. Read more Collapse

These are the next Hankooks I use. I had the previous ones on a Kia Sou (225/45 R18) and was very happy with them, they held up beautifully even when cornering at high speeds. I've tested these so far over a not-too-large distance, but both in the rain and on dry pavement (temperatures ranged from about 7 to 15 degrees). The noise is completely acceptable, as the ride comfort and grip above satisfactory. I recommend! Read more Collapse

can't drive the car slowly and these tyres give me the feeling of a firm grip on the road, in addition they have reduced my fuel consumption by 1-2l/100 km. On a wet road they behave decently, they could be more dampening but for this profile it is still not bad. I travel mainly on routes of 300-500 km.
