    Opinion from outside the UK

I am writing this review only because of low popularity, and even laughing at all season tyres by some users. The Goodyear Vector 4Seasons are better than just good. In winter they behave like winter tyres - I also used them in mountain area. I had problems with traction twice - on a 10-inch layer of wet snow in the parking lot (but I drove out without any help and didn't waste time as other drivers did). I was afraid that I'll pay the price of good winter grip in summer. But nothing like that happened, I didn't notice the tyre to be softer than typical summer tyre (to cope with this partially, I bought the tyres with higher load index for this size - 94V XL). in corners the drawback of directional tyres can be seen, which is worse side grip. it's hard for me to assess abrasion, because I do not change the tyres so often to see the difference (15 thousand miles per year). Opinion from outside the UK

After a three-month use in autumn-winter period (virtually in all conditions) I can definitely recommend Goodyear Vector 4Seasons. My previous summer tyres were Michelin Primacy HPs and Klebers were my winter ones. In everyday driving I don't see significant differences. A little louder than normally. A bit worse traction on deep snow. On dry they are very good. As the description and test say, they are slightly worse in extreme cases - they don't like aggressive driving. They provide high safeity especially during transitional periods where the most frequent surprises are conditions unrelevant to the tyres fitted. Read more Collapse

I got these tyres together with my Golf VII, which means I'm doomed to use them to the end. While they work well in the summer on dry roads, on wet roads you can't move from an intersection without grinding the wheels. In winter on wet snow they are a disaster. They are noisy, especially when driving fast on the motorway. My old tyres Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 are 10 times better than the new tyres (for winter conditions). If you are looking for a tyre for the whole year, and the winter is mild, you can buy them, but during a snowy winter, it is better to keep the car in the garage. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

If you do not drive a lot (about 10,000 a year) and do not live near the Arctic Circle, this is an investment for several years. In my car this tyre makes a slight noise on the rear axle (but this may be a matter of car construction, as the tyres are not so audible from the front). In summer heat and sudden braking - you have to take it very seriously! (but where in Poland can you accelerate properly). Other than that, I'd say it's the best all-round multi-season tyre. Aquaplaning - it shreds water like mad. First snow - no problem with bends when driving moderately. Read more Collapse

This is my 2nd set of these tyres. I have no need to change them for any other and as long as Goodyear continue to make them, I will keep coming back. I can honestly recommend these tyres to anyone who drives in a temperate climate and has no ambition to make their car a snowcat. In 7 years of using these tyres, only 1 (in words: 1) time they failed to cope with the road conditions - regular ice on a steep climb. Chains proved to be necessary, but in such conditions full-blooded winter tyres also laid down their arms. I recommend them warmly (and cold too ;) ) Read more Collapse

Technology description: If you’re looking for an all-season tyre that will prove itself in any weather conditions, the the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons is for you. It’s a modern premium model adapted for summer and winter conditions.

The tyre features a range of technologies that allow its design to adapt to the different seasons. With this, the tread of Vector 4Seasons adheres to the road with maximum coverage, no matter the weather.

The directional pattern used in the tyre performs perfectly on wet surfaces. The wide V-shaped grooves efficiently drain water, slush and snow, ensuring fast drying of the tread, and thus a better grip. As a result of the even distribution of pressures acting against the tyre surface, the tread wears out slowly and uniformly on each side. This allows you to fully use its performance regardless of the mileage and time.

The tyre was developed using a compound which adapts to prevailing temperatures. Thanks to this, your car is driven in a stable way no matter the weather. The car won't lose its grip even during sudden manoeuvres or cornering. Braking distance has also been reduced, due to the use of the appropriate components which means that the tyre “bites” into the surface and provides a good grip. A very important role in the reduction of braking distance is also played by the wide central rib, equipped with a large number of sipes. These, in particular, facilitate driving on wet surfaces, making you feel confident behind the wheel no matter the weather.
