    Opinion from outside the UK

I'm a bit disappointed - it's a good expression of what I'm thinking about Bridgestone LM25 tyres. I drive an old Ford Mondeo V6, which means I have a heavy car with stiff suspension and 170 horsepower. Heavy front, light rear. Every year I do about 55 000 miles, 20 to 25 000 of which i do on winter tyres. I always use your reviews to some extent, so I'll also try to write objectively. Previously I used Michellin tyres on my car and they were too soft in the corners, they continuously looked as not inflated properly, but I have to admit that the driving comfort was great. Continentals were also good, but wore off quickly. Then I fitted the Dunlop Winter Sport M3s. Unfortunately, they were loud, but sensational on the snow. Hard sidewalls and soft tread. Excellent in slush and other unusual situations. Bridgestones behave worse on snow and slush, and in the ruts filled with water. On ice it is commonly known that any tyre without spikes is not good! They are better than Dunlop on dry and wet, but clean surfaces. If anyone hesitates whether to buy Bridgestones or Debicas, Barums or Savas, then they shouldn't, because these are much better tyres for decent money. However, if someone has a powerful car, then they better buy soe premium class tyres. As for me, I'm going to get back to Dunlops. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I got the tyres with the car and it was the first time I had to deal with the winter Bridgestones. Previously I had Goodyear Ultra Grip 7 which were sensational so I have some basis for a comparison and I can say that I didn't have many opportunities to test the tyres in fresh snow or in snowy alleys as it was mainly dry and wet and I think the situation will stay like that as it's getting warmer :) I went out on a longer route and I had a strange feeling that driving a car with a heavy engine and a front wheel drive in a corner at speed of 50-55 MPH on our damp roads on Bridgestone LM25 caused a strange lack of trust in the grip of my car in such a corner. I try to be objective because I use this service not for the first time, and opinions about the tyres partially determine my choice. I haven't seen these tyres in any tyre service in my town and I'll tell you that I do not regret because I wouldn't choose it for myself, instead I'd buy Ultra Grip 7s. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Bridgestone LM25 is a tyre which can be rather recommended, particularly to people who live in mountain towns where snowfalls are quite heavy. In such conditions, it performs the best (fresh, soft, compressed or deep snow). On dry and wet it performs rather well. it also handles pretty well on ice, if we remember that it's not a spiked tyre. I've been using them for the second season now. I think that I'll be able to use them for three or four more seasons, so I'am satisfied with them.. To sum up - Bridgestone LM25 is worth recommending. The tougher the conditions, the more it's worth buying. Especially if you live in mountain areas where winter falls are heavy. People in larger cities would be recommending it less - as there are tyres with lower rolling resistance and noise level on the market. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Bridgestone LM25 are good tyres, I think so because I don't have any good comparisons with other tyre models and the car has ESP and ABS, so it's difficult to say to what extent does the electronics help and when it's the credit of the tyre. The most important thing is that they handle great on snow and in uphill, many vehicles had to have snow chains fitted and I didn't have to. There's quite a noise heard on the expressway, I think it's because of the ice near the wheels and snow on the road, normally no such noise is heard. generally speaking, I got the tyres for a good price and I am very satisfied and I recommend :). When it comes to re-purchasing the tyres, it all depends on the price, reviews and parameters as new tyre models appear. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Bridgestone LM25 are excellent tyres, comparable to Michelin Pilot Alpin 2s and they are much cheaper. I bought the tyres at the beginning of season 2005/2006. The first thing that surprised me in a positive way was the noise level - it's not significantly higher than the one of factory summer Michelin Pilot Primacy tyres. The tyres never failed me on snow - I was able to get out of the biggest snow drifts. I was also able to stop on ice and start off in practically all conditions, and that means a lot. On wet and dry pavement they behave almost the same as summer ones. After a season practically no visible signs or tread wear. I definitely recommend Bridgestone LM25 :-) Read more Collapse

Bridgestone LM25

3PMSF

The tyre meets the European Union's requirements for winter tyres

Carries the 3PMSF (Three Peak Mountain Flake) symbol, which is awarded after the model in question has been thoroughly tested for snow grip.

The Bridgestone LM25 is a winter tyre designed for passenger cars. It is particularly recommended for drivers of cars with high-performance engines, including sports cars. It features an asymmetric tread with a wide variety of functions which can easily handle a whole range of driving conditions. It rapidly and effectively evacuates water from under the wheels on wet or snowy roads, maintaining 100% grip and manoeuvrability of the vehicle. This guarantees an exceptional level of driving safety and allows for a faster and more aggressive driving style that makes full use of the engine's power. The tyres also feature reduced noise and vibration, which in turn ensures a high level of driving comfort. Furthermore, the low rolling resistance makes it possible to reduce fuel consumption.

The Bridgestone brand is one of the leaders in the tyre industry. The Japanese company has over 100 production facilities in many different countries around the world, and manufactures premium-range tyres characterised by unsurpassed quality and extraordinary robustness. The Bridgestone Group includes not only its own brand, but also companies such as: Firestone, Road King, Seiberling, Peerless, Dayton and Gillette.
