Bridgestone Ecopia EP500 is a summer tyre for electric vehicles. It was created by the combined forces of two giants of the car market, Bridgestone and BMW. Their cooperation resulted in the Bridgestone Ecopia EP500, the tyre which will be fitted as standard on the electric BMW i3.
This new tyre has better aerodynamic parameters and lower rolling resistance which helps to reduce fuel consumption. This, in turn, reduces fuel costs and makes driving more environmental friendly. The innovative combination of a large diameter and relatively narrow tread reduced potential tyre deformation and friction.
Excellent grip on dry and wet roads is ensured by a special rubber compound that forms a modern, asymmetric tread pattern. Bridgestone Ecopia EP500 is ideal for all drivers who value ecological and safe driving.

The company was established in 1931 years and currently it operates 59 factories around the world. In the period between 2006-2010, the company was the official supplier of tyres for Formula 1 and it still uses this experience in the serial production of tyres. Apart from tyres, Bridgestone manufactures rubber products, auto parts, chemical products and sporting goods. The first Bridgestone factory in Poland was opened in 2001 in Poznań.
