Opinion from outside the UK
After more than 80 thousand kms tours with a Rocket, and after 10 changes -8 cover them Metzeler- can confirm, once tested in every condition, in mountains, long journey at full load fast track, yet climate ... after stepping on dry and arid, cold, frozen ground and even with some snow .. that is unmatched. Is best in everything is infinitely more agile, the bike becomes much more "light" and manageable in slow corners, including "sport" in medium curves lasts between 10-15%, you could say that it feels less noise rolling over and is cheaper. I will repeat AVON without any doubt. Forced also say that OPONEO has sent always fast, with well packed correct dates of manufacture and the best price. Very professional. Read more Collapse

The tire spins at the front. This is the third of this moto in the same size. The previous ones were factory-fitted Dunlop and Bridgestone Exedra Max. The latter, in my opinion, better than the first one. I have not traveled a lot with Avon Cobra, but you can already see that it suits the cruiser. They are quite soft, the front does not raise, is stable, easily overcomes small holes or bumps. It's quite probably going into corners (on dry). As for wet - I did not drive too much to speak. PS: in the instructions for writing an opinion on a tire, the option "I do not evaluate" is replaced, and as a result it is not available. That is why, for example, I gave 5 wear, even though I barely traveled 1000 km, so I can not judge. Width! Read more Collapse

I have purchased the Avon Cobra tyres for mine and my wife's bikes. They're affordable, attractive, and practical. The 240 on the back wheel needs to be respected in the wet. You can't abuse the throttle on such a wide tyre on wet roads.on the other hand there is so much fun to be had on the dry roads. I have every confidence in the tyres ability to keep me safe on the roads. We have been to America and covered over 5000 miles on two occasions with no issues at all. I will replace these with more of the same. Well done Oponeo for the service you provide. Delivered to the door within a couple of days. Read more Collapse

Avon Tyres are well styled in their appearance. They perform extremely well on dry roads, but as I have a 240 rear tyre, I need to be cautious about powering out of corners in the wet. I have bought this tyre type for both wheels on mine and my wife's bikes and I'm completly satisfied with them. We often check out the Cobra markings on the side of the tyre, and see how much of it we have been able to wear off. That's how confident we are about this tyre. Read more Collapse
I ride a Kawasaki VN900 Custom and when it came to the front wheel the bike builder and myself both agreed that the bike would benefit from having a Harley Davidson front wheel fitted..as most tyres on Harleys are Avon I recently replaced the front tyre with a Avon AV71 Cobra..I have been very happy with the performance of the tyre since it was fitted last December[17]..and would be to happy to recommend it to anyone who rides a cruiser. Due to the small number of opinions guided by the views of the United States. In a comparable price were Metzelery. The risk paid off. With the tires I am very happy. For dry fast and stable even at v pow. 200 km / h (VN2000). A little less confident in the wet, but mostly due to the weight of the machine. Driven over 5 thousand. km and consumption at approx. 1/3. I have used several brands of tyres on my Motorcycle and always come back to Avon Cobras. These tyres are way far superior to the Manufacturers recommended tyre which is Bridgestone. I have tried Metzelers and Dunlop's and never really warmed to their performance or mileage either. Will definitely recommend these tyres. Read more Collapse

Tires are great, while Oponeo has sent a tire with a lower speed rating. I ordered and paid for 71V (240km / h) and I got 71H (210km / h). Not much, but the manufacturer recommends 71V for my motorcycle. Read more Collapse

The AV71 being a front tyre wears more quickly than the AV72 rear. That's unusual, but is the case. I do not brake hard on the front, so can't put this down to that. Good grip tyre though. Read more Collapse

Found to be a sure footed tyre in both wet and dry conditions. Not sure about the wear as low mileage under 2000 miles. It is a very narrow tyre but I am pleased with my purchase Read more Collapse

In my opinion, the best Tyres for a Rocket 111. Much easier to turn the bike into corners than the standard Bridgestones and better mileage. Read more Collapse
