Michelin PILOT POWER 2CT

Michelin Pilot Power 2CT is a summer tyre designed for highway motorcycles with a sporty nature. It is the perfect choice for all drivers who sometimes like to test their skills on a closed racetrack. In the production of Pilot Power 2CT, the manufacturer used two leading technologies that positively affect its behaviour on the road. The first of them is Two Compound Technology (2CT) that perfectly combines excellent grip when cornering with increased mileage from the strengthened central part of the tread. The front tyres has 80% of their area made of a rigid and resistant compound with the side belts of the tyre (10% each) made of softer, 'gripping' rubber. The rear tyres have a slightly different distribution of each compound compared to previous models. The centre of the tyre occupies 78% of its surface, whereas its sides are equally divided to share the remaining 22%. The second applied solution is SCT (Synthetic Component Technology). They are made of a mixture of MRSE rubber and HTSC resins which results in the quick heating of the tire. As a result, Michelin Pilot Power 2CT provides almost 100% of its road parameters at the very start of a drive. The tyre has also been repeatedly appreciated by professional racing drivers in motor magazines such as "Motorrad" and "Ride". The tyre is produced in almost ten 17-inch sizes.

I recommend these donuts are not the cheapest, but the upper shelf is also not the case. Very good driveability already had a stick in small frost and winklach revelation. Front after about 2 thousand km of a very low consumption per unfortunately back on the same course already slowly ends :-( I would add that I never upalałem just feel sorry. It does not mean that on slippery asphalt wheel loses grip and unnecessarily rubs during aggressive driving. tyres founded in gsxr 1000k2. Quite different it looks in gsxr 600k1 colleague who, together with me named butki and in his case, the same course of about two thousand tire wears minimal signs of wear. Read more Collapse

Michelin Pilot Power 2CT are one of the best tyres for all terrain use. According to my experience with it, I can tell that they have good grip on dry surface, as sport tyres they behave really well even on rainy days. On sport motorcycle 600 class, rear tyre can handle about 2- 3 thousand miles mileage. The front one lasts for longer usually. The tyre can be used also on long tours. In my pespective it's hard to find tyres which can offer such a good driving performance. PS. For people who want to go for Michlin Pilot Power 2CT: In the beginning the motocycle can seem to be a little bit nervous but after some time you will get used to it and you will start to appreciate the driving performance on this tyres. I bought these tyres earlier on in the year and after scrubbing in I went to my first track day. Once these tyres are warm they are so sticky and stable. It rained on track and the tyres did not faulter at all. I learnt to get my knee down in the wet with these tyres, so I'm sold. My only criticism would be that when ridden hard the edges wear very quickly. I ride to work an 80 mile round trip and now the rear tyre is starting to square off after motorway miles. All in all, worth the money and so so sticky once they're up to temperature; if a little fast wearing. Read more Collapse

PILOT POWER 2CT, excellent hard wearing tyre for the fast performance sports bike rider. Fantastic grip in both wet and dry, they inspire confidence when cornering hard and fast. High speed stability and handling response is first class, The longevity of these tyres is fantastic and I have achieved an average of 4500miles from the rear and 9000miles from the front. Even when onthe legal limit they hold their own, they do not delaminates like some other brands I've used, they are an excellent price and I would and do throroughly recommend them. Great tyre, heats up quickly, good grip. Even in rain you can trust it. The one drawback is that it's not so good on track- I mean in high speeds it's becoming really soft, it goes overheated, but anyway there are tyres dedicated for the track use. The Michlin Pilot Power 2CT is very good for regular city driving and there is no need to overpay for newest tyres, which are high technology manufactured. The quality is more than satisfying and in my point of view it's very good one in such a low price. To sum up, very good for regular road use. Read more Collapse

Excellent summer tyre for fast riding and long distance, lots of grip on cornering and give confidence when on full tilt on CBR1000RR, good all round traction and stability. Minimal tread pattern looks great on sports bike, usually wear two rears to one front. Great value tyre for the money, average 3000-4000 miles of fast riding per rear tyre.. recommended.. I have mounted these tyres on my Yamaha R6 and my driving style is really agressive. They give you feeling of stability on dry and wet surface as well. I am really suprised by huge comfort driving on uneven surface. Furthermore the price is suprisingly low. People who know something about the motorcycle tyres are aware that the Michelin Power 2CT is considered to be "classic". The only drawback is that sometimes you may feel you are just about to fall over. Taking all into consideration- tough tyres in low price. Read more Collapse

I used the original pilot power and they were stinking in the dry but in the wet they took some time too warm up. The 2cts are a real improvement over the originals and better cornering stablities. They warmred up better in the wet. Tyre wear is normal for a sports tyre. About 2000 miles for the rear and I'm heavy on the throttle. Read more Collapse

Probably the best way to describe them is that they are a softer street tyre. Soft enough for a decent amount of grip but not sports software with silly wear rate. They hold tyre pressure well (if fitted properly). Warms up quick enough. Haven't really fancied pushing in the rain yet but I can't see why they wouldn't perform. Read more Collapse

The grip is perfect even on cold days. The tyre performance is on highest level, there is no risk during agressive sideway. The breaking distance (with ABS) is more than satisfying. I' m glad that I've bought them because they are worth their price. I'm satisfied with the driving performance in the city and high speed roads. I've bought them in good faith of high durability and I wasn't disappointed. I do not trust in new high technology tyres because buying them you have to pay for the brand prestige also. Michelin Pilot Power 2CT is a cheap and very good tyre. Read more Collapse

As I have had a lot tyres on my vehicle the best one is Michelin Pilot Power 2CT most because I prefer tyres with low treadwear and rather hard rubber compound. I need long lasting, tough tyre for about 2 seasons. I've made more than 12 thousand miles on pilot power 2 ct. On my previous tyres the treadwear indicator showed up after about 8 thousand miles so comparing to my previous models it is one of the best. I actually don't need the newest technology- I want the tyre to be tough. Good experience at all and I'm going to buy a next pair of those. Read more Collapse
