Firestone Tre and Rubber Company was founded in 1905 by Harvey S. Firestone. First production plant was created in Arkon (Ohio, USA). The brand has been owned by the Bridgestone concern since 1988.
The company was a pioneer in mass tyre production. The company was the first serial tyre supplier for Ford Motor Company.
Firestone has very broad offer – from passenger car tyres, over truck tyres, up to specialised agricultural tyres. The products offered by the company can be qualified as a medium class tyres.
In between 1950-1975 Firestone was the main sponsor and tyre supplier for Indy Racing League rally.
