Sava Eskimo HP

These tyres are middle class in a very good price -that's how my tyre fitter described them. I fitted them to a Toyota Corolla Verso on alloy wheels. They present themselves very nicely. The noise level inside the car is tolerable. Starting on snow and slush is excellent! In the corners and on roundabouts they behave a bit worse in similar conditions. They say that a good tyre retains its properties for two seasons. It's hard for me to give an objective opinion. For example, people who live in the mountains drive one season on one set and buy a new one for the second season. Before I chose Sava Eskimo HP, I considered buying tyres such as Minerva, Debica, Fulda, Michelin. This is my second purchase of Sava tyres on the Internet. I had Sava tyres fitted to a Dodge before and I did three seasons on them without any disappointments. Because I was very pleased with them, I decided to buy them for my Vauxhall Signum and, unfortunately, they turned out to be a failure. The workmanship quality is terrible. The tyres look like squared and are virtually impossible to balance. After reaching 75 MPH my steering wheel started to vibrate. I tried to balance them twice and nothing helped. The weights put on each side were about 70 g each. Shortly speaking, it's horrible. I decided to make a complaint. Now, unfortunately, for more than two weeks I have to use my summer tyres, and we have the middle of December. Previously, I used Debica Frigo and Kleber Krisalp HP 2. Out of these three Sava Eskimo HP performs best on snow when starting and braking. On dry or wet it doesn't cause any problems. Side grip could have been a little better but it's not bad. I had no problems with balancing, it behaves very nice and soft when driving, it doesn't transfer any vibrations as eg. my summer Kleber Hydraxer. Also, the nice tread pattern deserves attention, I know it's not really important but I smile every time I see it. Generally, I recommend for such a price. My size is 195/50R15. Read more Collapse

The tyres are used daily in my wife's Mitsubishi Lancer. In winter she was really satisfied with the way the car drove on snow, I quote: "It goes like a tank, I was able to drive into any kind of snow". I also drove the car several times on these tyres and I didn't notice anything wrong on dry and wet. If you're mainly after a tyre to drive in the city (not checked on the road), Sava Eskimo HP is really good. The wife went on the route a few times and did not notice anything wrong. Sava Eskimo HP is definitely a tyre worth recommending. They are doing well in winter conditions. They have very good side grip and shock absorption on snow and ice. I did about 8, 000 miles on the rear there's minimal wear, which is almost unnoticeable; on the front it's more visible. For a powerful VTEC there were no problems with grip in winter. They are very quiet with good shock absorption, behave very well on dry surface and in harsh winter conditions (checked in practice). I wasn't interested in expensive tyres for winter season, especially because their purpose was city driving. I bought Sava Eskimo HP and had no problems with them. No skidding in morning frost or such events. I have no idea how it looks at higher speeds eg. when driving on the motorway. It's difficult to say whether they are loud or not. Read more Collapse

I waited a long time to write, because I bought at the end of October 2013 and only now winter has arrived. There is no problem with moving off the loose snow or the snow under the ice is. Long wondered about the choice of winter tires, and only because my budget was very limited. The choice fell on the Sava Eskimo HP 225/45/17 and I think it was the best choice in tires for the same price. They are quiet, they look good, and above all a very good exercise on the road.
