Nokian WR G2 SUV is a tyre which performs splendid in the harshest winter conditions with high comfort driving level. The tyre is produced from the modern rubber compound with the silica and natural canola oil addition. As a result of it, the tyre is resistant to lower temperatures and remains flexible and more environmentally friendly. It is also responsible for the fact that the model is characterized by lower rolling resistance, thanks to which the tyre contributes to reduced fuel consumption and smaller CO2 gases emission. Asymmetrical tread design performs well in different weather conditions. The tyre is characterized by good grip also during higher speed driving. This tyre’s model is distinguished by stability and short braking distance. The outer tread structure of the tyre is responsible for the driving route maintenance on the dry and icy road. Wide shoulder blocks included here ensure grip and stability not only while driving straight but also in the bends. Wedge-shaped grooves with sharp edges are included in the inner tyre’s zone. They are responsible for the water and slush evacuation. Their edges guarantee the grip of the tyre on the packed snow and deep water. Different length’ blocks present here cause that the tyre reacts perfectly to the steering wheel movements also by the sudden manoeuvres. This model is a splendid supplement of the traction control systems in modern cars.
Nokian WR G2 SUV is a winter tyre developed for the modern, SUV type passenger cars and the 4x4 cars. It belongs to the premium class ensuring the best performance.

Hello to all drivers (also those because of which I bought these tyres) The only good thing about the Nokian WR G2 SUV is that it is relatively quiet. Anything else - total cr**. I bought them based on the false advertising made by Nokian. I had continentals before (standard equipment for Navara) and even though it is rear-wheel drive it was OK. I bought 5 Nokian WR G2 SUV tyres, one of which was more than 13kg and others about 7.4, 7.9 (russian cr*p) but this is not even the worst part. They offer no grip in corners, so fast driving is no option here, I would go as far as to say it's dangerous. On the scale of 1-10 I would rate them 3, in the wet - 5, slush - 4, snow - 2, ice - 2. The rubber might be eco-friendly but it does no good as there is no grip. EU directive from 2012 requires the manufacturer to provide data such as noise, braking etc. Had I access to this data I wouldn't have bought them.I think I could rate them better than the manufacturer myself. Check the video on youtube on a Navara's accident on a highway in Russia and then think what would you recommend to others. Peter
I can recommend the Nokian WR G2 SUV. It is reasonably priced and well made. It works best in snow, a bit worse in slush or in wintertime in town. No problems with balaning, which was a pleasant surpris. If you don't use roads completely covered in snow then I think it's better to get a budget brand tyre for in town use only. In other case, this would be a right choice. The average user - as myself - wouldn't feel much difference. Unless you do extreme and dangerous driving in winter, then you are probably in the right possition to make such a comparison. If not, there is not much to compare and Nokian WR G2 SUV would do just fine.
I have been using Nokian WR G2 SUV tyres for a season now. In fact, we didn't have a very harsh winter here, but I did a lot of off-road driving as I fish and I have to say that the tyres behaved very well - I was fully in conrtol of the car. No matter if it was boggy terrain, mud or wet grass - I never got stuck. They also do great on paved roads. They are very quiet and allow for a smooth drive. I definitely recommend these tyres!
I bought a set of Nokian WR G2 SUV after having read a test/ comparison in which they scored quite well. Now I have them on two different cars. They are quite prone to aguaplanning, which doesn't inspire too much confidence in corners. I was also surprised by their behaviour in slush - complete lack of grip! Slides and skidds if you enter a corner with some speed. In short, I had better winter tyres before.
Signed by Nokian, made in Russia. Great idea and a good end product. No problems with balancing or when using the tyre. Nokian WR G2 SUV works best in snow - there was no road unaccesible, even where cars with snowchains got stuck. A bit more noisy on the tarmac but this is just a minor drawback - with no effect on steering. After one season there are no signs of wear. Totally recommended.
