The Goodyear EFFICIENTGRIP not only offers outstanding performance and top-quality materials, but also reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The engineers behind this model paid particular attention to the ecological and economical aspects of the model and a lighter construction and an advanced rubber compound result in fuel savings. The tyre has an asymmetric tread pattern, ensuring excellent performance on wet surfaces. The water dispersal blades and the high density of tread grooves means that driving on wet roads becomes truly enjoyable, safe and comfortable. Wet braking distances have also been reduced. The unique tread structure combined with an innovative pattern mean that the vehicle will not skid or slide even in unforeseeable situations. Driving comfort is further increased by the unique design of the tread blocks, which reduce tyre noise.

The Goodyear EFFICIENTGRIP also has a long lifetime. The special silica compound used to make the tyre has an extended lifetime and is very resistant to mechanical damage, which means that users of this model can enjoy its full range of features for longer. The Goodyear EFFICIENTGRIP is therefore the ideal option for all drivers looking for excellent performance from their tyres and who value safety on all types of road surface.

    Opinion from outside the UK

I bought the Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres for my Ford Focus Mk2 estate 1.8 TDCi. I was very pleased with them for the first 1000 miles. And then it all turned sour. The tyres are fitted to a car with freshly adjusted wheel alignment, on new Dezent alloy wheels, all brake discs in the car are new. After this 1000 miles I started to feel vibrations on the steering wheel, first up from 50 MPH, now from 45 already. The service has re-balanced the wheels – with no avail. They have examined the tyres on a balancer with road test function – it appeared one tyre was faulty, so it was sent for a complaint. I put my old Michelin tyres on the rear, but the vibrations didn’t stop. The rest of the Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres is unfortunately within Goodyear’s standards. I can see that my case is not the only one of such kind. In my opinion, these tyres are too rough and as they wear off, their quality also drops significantly. Unfortunately, I will have to throw them out (along with my 300 pounds) and go back to Michelin tyres. Because of that, I don’t recommend getting Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Goodyear EfficientGrip are the tyres I have fitted to my newly bought Ford Mondeo (160 BHP). I drive passenger cars a lot (company cars) and I try my best to buy safe tyres (not necessarily cheap ones) from various brands. I have done 15 thousand miles in two months and now I can objectively rate their quality. Goodyear EfficientGrip are one of the best tyres I have ever driven on, definitely the quietest ones. They provide great braking on both wet and dry surface. I didn’t notice the phenomenon other users did – the one about the vibrations (I can go 115 MPH on the motorway and nothing strange happens to them). In the corners they seem to be a bit too soft in aggressive driving. I’m not able to rate fuel consumption change as these are the original equipment tyres in a new car, but when it comes to rolling resistance, I think I can see the difference as guaranteed by the manufacturer when compared to other cars I drove. Generally, I find Goodyear EfficientGrip a very good tyre and I can recommend it with a clear conscience. Read more Collapse

The car I have Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres fitted to is a heavy vehicle with front wheel drive and a Diesel engine. The previous tyres I had were factory-fitted Pirelli P7. I think that compared to Goodyear, Pirelli tyres were harder and the car was stiffer. Now the front end of the car seems to sway at higher speeds. I use the same route when I go to work, so I can see the difference. Their great advantage is braking distance. The car stops almost on the spot. Previously, ABS was switching on during every sudden braking. Also, the fact is that my old tyres were already worn out. I got persuaded to buy Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres by reading reviews of other users and the manufacturer – low rolling resistance, noise level, influence on fuel consumption etc. As I see it now, everything was just a marketing trick, at least that’s my subjective opinion. Now I would go for some cheaper tyres. Pirelli did 45 thousand miles. We shall see what the mileage of Goodyear EfficientGrip will be. Read more Collapse

I have a heavy car with a powerful engine, and due to that all tyres wear off quite fast, including Goodyear EfficientGrip, but on the other hand, the driving comfort is excellent. The car goes in and out of the corners like on tracks. My passengers often are surprised that such a heavy estate with a modded Diesel engine can go 110 MPH in the corners. They ask me about the tyres, and when I say that I use Goodyear EfficientGrip and give them a price, they say they prefer to go slower and save some money… and then they buy used tyres. I preferred to buy new tyres and paid 100 pounds per tyre, at Oponeo – and the service stations want you to pay 160 pounds per tyre! Also, I rated their ice performance on 1, as such a tyre as Goodyear EfficientGrip shouldn’t be rated in winter conditions. I don’t drive like that and I find Goodyear EfficientGrip not suitable for snow and ice – that’s what winter tyres are for! Read more Collapse

Goodyear EfficientGrip are the tyres I have as factory fitted, I got them with my new Fiat Bravo. When it comes to comfort of use (noise level, economy, traction) – there’s nothing I can complain about. However, last week, when I was changing my tyres from winter ones (beginning of third season, mileage done on the tyres up to that moment – ca. 16 000 miles) it appeared that two of the tyres have quite large bulges on the inner edges, (one of them was quite large, and it was immediately classifying the tyre for replacing). Generally, I pay attention to the type and condition of surface I drive on and I slow down at bumps. As the city traffic learns, sometimes you have to drive on a curb. In my 10-year career of a driver, it was a first case of such. I have used Firestone, Barum, Pirelli and Dunlop tyres, and none of them tore apart the way Goodyear EfficientGrip did. I bought Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres after having a good experience with winter Ultra Grip tyres for vans. I was pleased with them and that’s why I decided to get Goodyear tyres for my car as well. Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres surprised me positively with their rolling resistance – I checked it by stopping the car on a slight downhill. The car just rolls down. On any other tyres it would be slow rolling, and on Goodyear EfficientGrip the car definitely goes down. It can be also felt during acceleration, it seems like the car got more horsepower. Also, I have to add that I drive a new car, and I have an impression that I changed my shocks. When it comes to noise level, it’s a significant change compared to my previous Continental tyres I had, which were switched in a rental place. I have to say that Goodyear did a good job by doing Goodyear EfficientGrip. Read more Collapse

Goodyear EfficientGrip is a very good tyre on dry surface. On wet, with moderate driving style, suspension in good condition and proper air pressure it’s also excellent. It’s very quiet, compared to my previous Pirelli P7, which was definitely louder, even louder than the winter Michelin Pilot Alpin. I am not able to rate the durability of Goodyear EfficientGrip at the moment because the distance driven is too small to note any signs of wear. Also, I have to emphasize that in order to rate the driving properties of a tyre properly and to fully use its capabilities in all conditions, you have to adjust your wheel alignment correctly, have proper air pressure, correctly working suspension and fully balanced wheels. After I had my new Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres fitted, I did all of this and the tyres do their job perfectly. Read more Collapse

If I knew they were manufactured in the same way as Debica tyres, I wouldn't get Goodyear EfficientGrip at all. The manufacture is terrible - the tyres have bulges on the sides which are a result of bad forging (the layers overlap each other), the manufacturer claims it's safe and won't ground the complaint, and they can't be balanced for sure (and I don't have any problems with winter ones)... The car swerves side to side when driven on straights - the driving course is unstable, you have to stay focused all the time, I'm afraid of driving in ruts on these tyres! When my girlfriend sat behind the wheel, she asked if everything's fine with the car. My next tyres will be from the same brand as my winter ones. I'll nebver buy Goodyear EfficientGrip again. Goodyear EfficientGrip look finelty manufactured at first glance.During the first fitting the tyre man noticed the tyres have slight side vibrations - when spun on the balancer, the tread pattern was not spinning in one course, and the tyres needed a lot of weights to be balanced. The wheels were checked when it came to damage and the appeared to be fine. As a result, in order to minimize the risk of "wheel swerving" while driving, the tyre had to be centered against the wheel to get the best position. To sum up, my old Michelin tyres kept their straight profile through the entire period of use, and new Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres had to be re-balanced and centered... I don't recommend Goodyear EfficientGrip because of such problems. Read more Collapse

Goodyear EfficientGrip are quiet tyres, which is their big advantage. They have low rolling resistance, but I didn't notice lower fuel consumption, as some users write in their reviews. Their drawback is their behaviour on pavement. The thing that on of the users called "new shocks" is true - the car becomes soft and sway-ish. If someone likes to sports driving style, then I definitely don't recommend. Goodyear EfficientGrip are designed for calm, confortable ride with low speeds. They behave unevenly in the rain and have the tendency for lateral aquaplaning. I won't buy Goodyear EfficientGrip again but I can imagine people who'll be their fans. Read more Collapse

These tyres were original equipment on my new Ford Mondeo Titanium X 163bhp Powershift estate. I was immediately disappointed with the road noise compared with my previous Mondeo. estate which was fitted with Good Year Eagle F1's. The tyres also feel harsh on rough surfaces. Biggest surprise came when I had to replace the front tyres at 7,900 miles as they were below the legal limit. (Eagle F1's on previous Mondeo Est.changed at 18k) Although the grip in both dry and wet conditions seems o/k I wouldn't recommend these tyres because of the high wear rate and the excessive road noise generated. Mounted on a Jaguar XF 3.0 D of 275cv, 245/45/18 in this version is an excellent tire for day to day highly recommended for anyone who wants comfort and durability with good bonding. However the limit with a powerful car like this you can not get the quintessence the engine and the wheels may fail. I've had a Pzero Pirelli, Goodyear are superior in comfort and very far in life and go for 45000km Pirelli did not reach 30,000. But if one day I decided to get to work on the Pirelli car 275cv were stunning (dry) Goodyear has loosened the gas or you go off the road. Good wet the year are better in proportion to dry. If there is snow both go badly wrong. So strongly recommend purchase in smooth driving, wet summer. I do not recommend if you enjoy sporty driving with a powerful drive. Read more Collapse

Tires had founded the factory, since the departure of the living room. I drove on them, including about 25,000 km, of which about 11.000 km on the road. Currently, the center tread on the drive wheels is completely smooth, the only remaining incisions on the side treads. In addition, after a half year of operation three tires had to be replaced (two - the bubbles, one - damaged edge). This is not my first car, or the first tire and so far I have not had such problems, driving even temporarily on Debice. To sum up - tires lead to great, are quiet and look good. On the other hand riding on them requires great caution, far more than the other models. Read more Collapse

I am dissatisfied. The tire was cheaper than in the service probably about 40 PLN but there were problems with balancing. 3h sitting in an authorized service center and deal with it is not advised. Balancing was efficient, suspension ok, alloy wheels around the steering wheel and in the test twitched. The only salvation was to postpone the tires on the rear wheel to keep twitching and so-so ride so far. How would I bought on the spot in the ASO I would have told them to give replacement and exchanged the tire and that I bought online store is to advertise it would have been without tire. Spared PLN 40 lost ten in lost time. Read more Collapse

I'll start with noise: nothing nadzyczajnego, ordinary tyres, read reviews here, I was expecting something more (and to forestall any such change bearings screaming so inform: the car is two years). After about 3 thousand. km and three visits to the re-balancing of the tyres turned out to be impossible to balance, no one knows why. I just hope that the company Goodyear considers the complaint and give the money because their products just do not want to have. Otherwise, we'll definitely mention that. Like a company with tradition and quality, at least in this model of tyres from China. After the reviews I see friends that I am not alone in the vibrations transmitted by the tyre on the wheel. When driving around town with a slower speed is not so much a pain, but in the longer distances becomes awfully tyresome and of course affects the suspension components in the car with full premeditation because I do not recommend these tyres, and Goodyear should withdraw as soon as possible from the sale of These defective tyres and return the money to drivers disappointed!!!! This is important for me because the tire profile is quite low and so far all the other looked like under-inflated tires. On average, every month or complement was checking the tire pressure. Good Year For this problem to go away, there is the impression that there is no pressure in the wheels. I also believe that they are quieter than other tires which was using. Whiz has a different tone depending on the type of surface, and is generally quite tiring. The problem is the quality. In one, on the side of the rubber broke it and began to creep out a charred piece of rubber, plastic ??? Two other on the side shown vertical bulge length of several centimeters. Super tyre - highly recommended, because it is silent, ergonomic, but I would like to point out that the tyres with the system of Flat Run are only suitable for cars with air pressure sensors in the tyres! I unfortunately do not have, so needlessly invested in the tyres! Also, I note that the wheels on the wheels need to control pressure at least once a month, because if tyre pressure drops significantly consumes the sides! And so it happened! Therefore, it is a great tyre but have too much as this brand susceptibility to abrasion. Read more Collapse

Tyres very quiet (which made me very happy) I think because they are quite soft, which revealed a slight rocking the car, when you do a quick maneuver the wheel right, left, right - practically not noticeable in normal driving. In addition, I noticed that quite often require balance (I started it at the beginning of the summer season, and wyważałem them a total of 3 times) - I'll add that the more I ride on good roads. In conclusion, I would recommend it for people who appreciate great comfort at a reasonable price. Read more Collapse

After about 30.000 km tyre clashed a little, but in the standard. Very good in the wet, but inhibits much more effectively than moving. In a dry cool. It seems to me that tyre is sensitive to air pressure. Slightly too high - no longer absorb and become unstable over bumps. Slightly too low - it gets too soft, auto "placed" on the corners, very unstable in the ruts. The difference is + / - 0.2 bar. In my case (b4 passat variant 1.8 90HP) 2.3 bar is optimum.
