Opinion from outside the UK
Falken Ziex ZE 912 tempts with a low price, but this model is not a sensational one. Its grip on dry surface is OK, a bit worse when braking. In the corners the grip is also not bad, but despite the low profile and a reinforced bead it could be better. When it comes to driving on wet, it's not so great. Once I even had an unpleasant situation in heavy rainwhen the road was covered with a layer of water (a few millimeters, the entire surface covered equally), and the tyre lost its grip after hitting the brake pedal hard (car behaved like a boat ^^ ) but after releasing the pedal the car regained its grip. On my previous tyres (Uniroyal RainSport 2 in the same size) I have never experienced a phenomenon like that. Generally, the tyre doesn't wear off in a quick pace (about 1.5 mm last season), but I decided to fit them to rear and put my Uniroyals on the front (despite the fact they're older and have a softer sidewall, giving the impression of slidind tyre). I needed tyres quickly and I think that less demanding users should be satisfied with Falken ZE 912's performance, but I think it's worth to fit something decent to maximize the safety. I use these tyres on a Volvo 850 T5R, 240 HP. At the beginning they were great, I felt significant improvement, when compared to Kumho Ecsta SPT U31. I'm a demanding driver, and the tyres must be OK. And it was until thet tyres feathered after 8500 miles. Noise is so annoying that I can not put up with it anymore. Tomorrow I'm going to change them into Yokohama S.drives. Generally the grip is very good, no matter of the surface is wet or dry. Starting and braking is superb. They have to warm up a bit - they stop vibrating after a few miles. I mean that after the night the trad is hard, and after a bit more aggressive drive fingertips stick to the tyres :). they're hard, abut it's "thanks" to XL index - reinforced tyres. Generally they're OK. If it wasn't for their feathering! For me, it's a serious drawback. Read more Collapse

I bought Falken ZE 912s in the size 225/45R17 94W - 4000 miles done and the tyre looks like almost unused. On wet it drives like on dry - last few days of rain didn't make the tyres behave dirrefently. The fastest I did on this tyres was 110 MPH on expressway covered with water, and if I could go so fast with full control of the car, than it's no point for me to look for better tyres. They absorb bumps sensationally - but it's on right pressure. I drive at 2.4 bar I only got a decrease once, the result ( after sudden cooldown) was 2.1 bar and it was perceptible - but every bright driver knows that the pressure is the key value, and every two weeks it should be checked. Overall, I can definitely recommend Falken ZE 912 ;-) -There's nothing better you'll find in this range. Read more Collapse

Driven distance: more than 15 thousand miles - fast, very aggressive driving style. Pros: + quite good abrasion (after 15 thousand miles there's still plenty of tread) + good grip on dry pavement + vary rare slips when rush starting on dry pavement + goog quality-price ratio + very interesting tread pattern Cons: - loses grip in tight 90 degree bends atb speeds about 45-50 MPH on dry pavement - no grip on wet pavement! - Frequent aquaplaning! - A bit noisy Summary: Falken ZE 912 is a tyre for someone who starts an adventure with a sports car, drives safely and carefully in the corners. For really fast drivers I'd rather recommend Yokohama S.drive AS01 or something better. Read more Collapse

I use Falken ZE 912s in summer only, so the description of behaviour on snow and ice is a misunderstanding. Generally, they're "economic" tyres, but their behavior, appearance or characteristics doesn't differ much from "premium" tyres. In my case I can compare them to my previous Dunlop SP Sport 01s, Falkens definitely win when it comes to behaviour in ruts, there is no phenomenon of "swerving" to the sides when driving through ruts at high speed, as seen often on our roads. It's their great advantage! When it comes to abrasion, it's still too early for me to assess, but I don't see any signs of wear and the tyre grips the road well. In this aspect, it also beats Dunlops. Read more Collapse

I've been using the 2nd set of Falken ZE 912s now and I'm very satisfied with them. I wanted to buy tyres in the price range of those Falkens - not too expensive and good, and I succeeded :) They are very good on wet, the car doesn't swerve despite its power, on dry they are great and the corners are not a problem because I know that I can get out of the corner without any complications, low noise level is also an advantage. They are just very good and if I hear that someone compares a middle class Falken tyre to premium class Michelin one, I find it ridiculous, try to compare a Cinquecento to the latest Mercedes or Audi... The tyres are definitely worth recommending! Read more Collapse

During acceleration and cornering the tyre behaves very well on dry and wet surfaces when driving dynamically, but during braking from about 130 to about 90 MPH you can feel that the car is unstable, from 90 MPH it's completely otherwise, that is the way it should be. My set just wore off, after a period of three years the tyres wore off quite considerably. In one of them the protective armor even showed up from under the tread, but the mileage I did on the tyres is 75000 miles! As for this class and price, I can definitely recommend Falken ZE 912. When buying Falken ZE 912s in summer 2011 I paid about 70 pounds/tyre (at a different online trader's shop), now these tyres have much higher price, but I am not surprised by this, because they are worth the money spent on them. Excellent driving behaviour on dry and wet surface, low rolling resistance and the tyres look very nice. My set was manufactured in Thailand. After driving about 20 thousand miles (I work as a driver) in the size 215/55R16 in an Audi A6 I'm completely satisfied with my purchase and I can definitely recommend these tyres. Read more Collapse

The quality-price ratio (I bought them for 45 pounds/tyre) for the properties the Falken ZE 912 represents is more than satisfactory. I'm an average driver with light flair for sports driving, I have a Megane I (107 HP) and for this car these tyres are more than enough. The only drawback I noticed is the fact that despite the profile 195/60 the tyres are hard. Better handling, but worse driving comfort, it suits me because I can drive faster, but not everyone will be happy with it (their hardness can be perceptible on rough roads). Read more Collapse

My colleague persuaded me to buy Falken ZE 912s, and I have great confidence in him, because he participates in amateur rally competitions and has good knowledge. My tyre size is 205/55 R16 and they are sensational on my Golf. So far, I only used premium class tyres. I don't see any difference between them and Falkens, price of which is a lot lower than in the aforementioned models. I definitely became a fan of the brand and I find it a great one. I'm only afraid of price rises after it gains popularity. I highly recommend. Read more Collapse

I've been using these tyres for the second season now, generally it's no revelation, it's an average tyre without drawbacks, on wet it's terrible, just a little bit of water flowing across the road and the car is out of control like on ice, so definitely they are not suitable for wet (the car is a VW Passat B5 Variant), Previosly I had Nexen N3000s and I haven't noticed such phenomenons and I thought that Falken ZE 912s will be better, because before I had Falken FK 451s and there were no problems on wet surface. Not too hard, not too soft. Surprisingly good grip in corners - for a tyre in such price range. The sidewalls are hard, which is also and advantage for me. On wet they are a complete surprise (in a good way). Abrasion is probably above average (too short time of use to assess) among the better tyres - they are not for great mileage enthusiasts, but it should be taken into consideration this is not a hard tyre (with all the benefits). To conclude - well spent money for a tyre that can be surprising. Read more Collapse

Before buying I had some fears against the "betrayal" of Michelin, and after driving 25 000 miles I think that chaning thew brand to Falken was a "bullseye". I fitted them to my Audi A6 Quattro 235 HP, my driving style is confident and dynamic. Pros: quiet, provide good grip, trouble-free, good-looking, low abrasion, good shock absorbing. I can recommend Falken ZE 912 to people who have a decent car and are afraid afraid of changing the brand - these ones are definitely worth buying. Read more Collapse

Terrible for long trips. After buying a new set of Falken tyres I went on 2000 km trip - on smooth, dry German motorways. I was afraid of driving more than 90 MPH, because the tyres didn't keep their grip, the car swerved sideways like during stong wind, which made me not want to even try driving on wet or snow. Previously, I had Michelin tyres fitted, bought used; fortunately I didn't throw them away and as soon as I get back, I'll fit them back on the car. I DON'T RECOMMEND. Read more Collapse

The tyres are fitted to an Audi A6 and a Passat (but only Falken ZE 912, so I can't assess other models of Falken summer tyres). Both cars have more than 170 HP and the tyres behave great. In winter the Passat is also fitted with Falken tyres - I don't remember the model, but they did very nicely. For the Audi I'll also probably buy winter Falkens. As for me, the tyres are fine. I can recommend but only the ZE 912, as I didn't have the opportunity to deal with other models. Read more Collapse

I bought Falken ZE 912s with some disbelief, previously I had Fulda Carat Exelero tyres and I have to admit that the Fuldas don't stand a chance when compared to the Falkens. On Fuldas the car swerved in ruts and on Falkens it didn't. Behaviour on wet is very good, the tyre allows full control of the car. The only drawbacks are the price and too high abrasion. Apart from that, for summer 2011 I will definitely purchase these tires in size 205/45R16 again. Read more Collapse

The tyres are OK but in the first set I bought there were two tyres that vibrated. There was no problem with replacing them to new ones, but the new ones also weren't drawback-free. They vibrate slightly less but still do. On tyres of one of the leading tyre manufacturers I had before such problem did not occur. The wheels were checked, balanced, etc. Nothing helped. Personally, I regret the purchase. I wanted to save some money, and as a result I didn't. Read more Collapse

I fitted Fqalken ZE 912s to the front (two for the rear are already fitted and waiting) and I have no objections to them - in terms of traction on both dry and wet they easily catch up to more expensive Yokohama Advan Sport 103s and Nitto 555s, which are not offered on our market. Good handling in corners, no sign of nervousness or a tendency to skidding. Their appearance is also good, certainly not spectacular, but it gives a sense of confidence. Read more Collapse

I got pretty scared when driving through a puddle on these tyres for the first time. Heavy aquaplaning. On slightly wet pavement it also immediately loses traction. The manufacturer probably did some joke by putting an M+S marking on the sidewall. On dry it's pretty quiet and soft. However, the tyre wears off quickly. That's the advantage, as you won't regret thowing it away and buying better ones. Previously I used Michelin Pilot Primacys. Read more Collapse

I bought Falken ZE 912s for economic reasons, my monthly mileage is about 3000 miles, the tyre performs very well, maybe it could be a bit quieter - but here it depends on the type of surface, I was afraid of its behaviour on wet, the tyre seemed to be hard, but on wet it grips nicely, also during braking (ABS switches on only in extreme situations, and I checked the reaction on wet pavement a few times) and in corners. I totally don't understand the users who write opinions that the tyre is slick on wet. I use the second set now and I can recommend it to every driver with my full responsibility. You don't have to worry. Generally, the tyre is great in all conditions, and that's why I'm a fan of the brand. Taking into account the price-quality ratio, there's no better tyre on the market. I was deceived on these tires and if nothing bad to say you can not, however, during the change from winter BFGoodrich car became stiff. Okay, I understand the tires are tough but do not reflect the charm of suspension Hydractive I have in C5. Anyway, in theory, winter tires are softer. (As an interesting add that to the other car bought dunlopy and are much more comfortable than winter tires). Exactly when the argument is that a summer tire and has the right to be tough so let it performs even better than / in winter tires. Moving even dynamically easily make the wheels boxed what to winter tyres in kilkunastostopniowej temperature in the black was not. This is just the first 1200km but I think when they change. If only they were comfortable although I understand that it's easy to make that auto boxes when starting but that was worse than much more comfortable winter tyres is a slight exaggeration. Tires SUPER! I recommend it! I have them for a month and then be disappointed, previously purchased from the same company for the Audi - the ride was sensational, so again in the not tempted when changing cars and buy new tires. I would recommend to other users. In my opinion tires worth recommending, and the ratio of price to quality, perfect appearance. The car on these tires very well kept roads, also on sharp corners and the hard use. Up to 100 km / h in practice they do not hear. From 120 begins to hum slightly - but then so is every winter tyre. Very good lateral support, braking and acceleration under all conditions. With the car behaves predictably slopes. Read more Collapse

After purchasing a sizeable combo I decided to change it wheel size of 16 to 17 inches, as a result of intensive research, my choice fell on Falkeny. Well, driving both the dry and especially wet I am more than satisfied, the problem is that the tire has a large rolling resistance, which makes it quite loud and above all burning has increased significantly because of me over 1l/100km. Resistance to feel well while you are driving, auto, meant little resistance if the driver during acceleration :) With the advantages of a nice appearance and performance, and price (336zł for 17'') Cons: audible and large rolling resistance Read more Collapse

By purchasing these tires for a long time I hesitated because I did not know the brand. After much deliberation I decided to take a chance and I'm very happy. The tires stick to the road well even at high speeds and cornering too quickly can come and not be afraid that we will lose control of the vehicle. I already had in my life tires from different manufacturers praised by others - always proved a flop. This tire was not I praised and I'm glad I bought it. These tires are really quiet, rolling resistance, they are not bad for the car in which they were installed.
