Vredestein Quatrac 3

I bought these tires in September 2010 and so far I've tested them in every condition. I have to addmit that Vredestein Quatrac 3 are good either in wet and dry weather. It is true that on wet road surface a noise similair to whistling comes out. I found them pretty good even during winter. Everything is ok when driving but it seems to me that they have a bit lack of thrust and sometimes it is hard to get out of snowdrift ( I think that Quatrac 2 were better in that particular case). When the road surface is covered with ice I found them rather weak - you have to be prepared to brake earlier than usualy and to drive responsibly. I read in one of the magazines that these tyres have more Summer properties. Nevertheless I am satisfied and I will buy them again. Read more Collapse

Vredestein Quatrac 3 is a product that is inconvenient for all fitting stations. They are really good and the attriction is low. My style of driving is not very agressive. I am not retired granny- I like driving fast, but I match my driving style to weather conditions. This tire isn't for those who drive 150MPH but for those wo drive 100 MPH. Vredesteins cannot be compared to UniroyalRainExperts during rain but it is not a big issue as you can still drive 90MPH and be totaly safe. They are a bit noisy over 90MPH but its not a big problem. It damps all road holes very well. During the summer you can feel the rubber softness but it shouldn't bother you. They offer confidence in corners. I realy recommend them. Read more Collapse

I have used these tyres for 3 years, now into my 2nd set. 20,000miles on the front is easily achieved. Best wet weather tyre I have ever driven and I have driven 100's of thousands of miles with all major branded UK available tyres. These tyres are now on my wife's car (Focus)and she is more confident in wet / cold weather. Don't be fooled into thinking they are as good as a full winter tyre as they are not but as a compromise they are far superior to any 'normal' tyre in the mixed winter we have in the UK. For me a worthwhile investment but don't wait until the winter to buy them as stocks go quickly. You can import and have them fitted though. Read more Collapse

I dont understand people who write that Vredesteins Quatrac 3 are good tyres and they give 4 mark. They want a cheap tyre to have the properties of the most expensive ones. It will never be like that. i paid over 250GBP and for that price nothing better can be bought. These are very good and well looking tyres. You dont have to change them for winter. Producers and any other cheaters claim that all-season tyres are worthless but its not true. I recommend Vredesteins Quatrac 3 because they give me confidence and safety. Read more Collapse

225/40/18 can only rate these tyres very high. Used in the Scottish Highlands this winter and have done exactly what I wanted of them. So good in fact that they should be fitted to every car up here by law! My Bridgestone potenzas fitted to my vrs Octavia got quite hard in the cold weather and had to come off as they were spinning and noisy. Vredesteins Quatrac 3 are uch better than winter tyres for 50GPB/ ea. I checked the in winter last year. Of course no madness allowed because they are not chains. My car sticked to the road without exeptions. The ABS turned on just 2 times during 60 miles distance, when I was braking on the traffic lights. In the summer these tyres are silent and they dont squeak. When I see people writing that you have to put winter tyres on winter I'm sure that they didn't use Quatracs 3. Recommend! Have Volvo S80 and stay in Scotland. I would not have any other Tyre on my car than Vredenstine, Done 42,000 miles from the first set i fitted and their was still a few thousand left in them, Excellent in snow and good all year rounders. I know cars and tyres as i have worked in the motor industry all my working life and they are the best money can buy. Just try them and make your own mind up. Only in the wet surface, when tyre starts to pump the water you can notice tiny whistling. But that disadvantage can be treated as an advantage because the tyre kinda informs you about the road condition. In deep snow they behave like a very good winter tyre. My car is heavy and I think that this kind of tyre worked very well with it. TYre size: 215/65R15 and it is the only all-weather tyre that can compete with pure winter tyres. Read more Collapse

Used on my spare 'all weather and tip run' car. Excellent all weather options which controlled my cars' heavy understeer and high edge wear issues. Excellent in all conditions thrown at it and no negatives whatsoever on a car I drive 'fruitily'. Far more effective than winters in summer and summers in winter....just as they should be! I made few miles on them because there was no snow during winter. It is hard to judge their behavior after such a short time of usage. I think that Vredesteins Quatrac 3 has quite big rolling resistance (I assume that because my fuel use rise in about 0.5-0.6L. Nevertheless, they are a nice compromise. For the average family saloon that gets driven hard at times I have total faith in these tyres. For me a tyres quality is based upon its wet weather performance and this tyre has got me out of trouble on several occasions. It has out braked BMW's, Audis etc in the wet. Great four season tyre but is, of course a "compromise" between summer and winter performance. That said, it avoids the change of tyres/wheels over the year. Get an extra matching alloy and put the same tyre so as you have an all-season spare. Read more Collapse

Previously I was using Continental ContiWinterContact TS830 but Vredestein Quatrac 3 are even better: much more silent, they dig-out from the snow better than Contis. You can feel like Vredestains got chains on them :) Braking splendid! Read more Collapse

Purchased 2 x Quatrac 3 for my wife's Panda! Has has them on there already so rate them good for wet, snow and dry! In serious snow I would have gone for more extreme tyres but as we live in the UK a good compromise tyre! Read more Collapse

Tires recommend it! Sam was looking opinion about them on the internet and I am glad that I decided to just them. I found out what they are first-hand, not hearsay! My friends advised me against these tires. They said that you can buy them only when someone can not afford two sets of tires seasonal. Nonsense! Never such not usable but compliment morals are the first! At once, I should mention that my car is used to drive every day (combo) and is not competitive car. Tires excel great summer. Completely forgetting that these are not summer tires. Manages to move aggressively, even for this power car (93HP). Tires are not noisy, well hold on to the road. On paper, they also have some of the best parameters of the rolling resistance (which affects consumption) and said noise level. It convinced me to buy. These data are real. The tires are quiet. In winter, exercised also very good, but without the craziness on the road! In kopnym snow and even with the large drifts are able to travel without assistance. When driving in town absolutely no problems. Outside the city you have to have some careful manipulating the gas and the brake, and above all, the wheel, because sometimes can slightly zabujać back. For several years I traveled for a cheap tires all year round and each praised. Up the ghost, and because I travel on business all over Poland, it decided to invest in a proven product. Guided by the views and opinions of OPONEO chose in the end Vredestein Quatrac 3. Purchased in January 2014. The first impression - tire loud. With wet whistles so that the first time I thought that something hurt in a car. The second impression - when entering the first corner on the way home I almost did not kill anybody. Turn, which I know by heart and always defeated him at 80 km. Now I have to inhibit up to 60 km, otherwise the tires lose their grip on a dry surface. Tires: Vredestein Quatrac 3 <> Goodyear Vector 4Seasons drove on tires Vredestein Quatrac 3 approx. 6 thousand miles, front wheel drive Peugeot 206, and the tires Goodyear Vector 4Seasons - approx. 60 thousand km. My comments on Vredestein Quatrac 3 compared to the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons: - a mixture of plastic Vredestein soft, more flexible - tires are a symptom of riding on "żelkach" (a little too flexible); this causes instability when driving a car track, acceleration and speeds the area. 80 km / h (temperature area. 25 celsius) car drifts to the left or right (riding on the sides - which lowers the safety); However, holes - damping inequality is a little better than the Goodyear because of the greater flexibility jellies; - The parameters of the tire rolling noise are described below (approx. 68dB) compared Goodyear (71 dB); My experience shows that Vredestein makes more noise due to the transverse slats - is irritating fiddler (tires act a bit like a resonance box for example. playing a guitar - you can hear the noise through the walls to strengthen the tires filled with air / nitrogen); a bit like driving a tractor - in Goodyear was not the (V-shaped tread); - The rolling resistance Vredestein Quatrac 3 are clearly higher for the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons (car goes slower - for maximum speed, slower speeds); I would give higher fuel consumption by approx. 0.5 liters / 100 km); - Drainage of water from the tires on the tires Vredestein Quatrac 3 is worse (less efficient / less efficient) compared with Goodyear Vector 4Seasons.
