Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac

Information on the tyre:

Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac is a versatile tyre designed for off-road vehicles. This ensures good traction in all-terrain as well as good behaviour on paved roads . Equipped with a symmetrical tread, the model performs very well on dry and wet surfaces.

The tyre uses TractiveGroove technology, which improves traction on mud and during difficult off-road driving. It also has anti-slip studs, which further improves traction in extreme conditions, and makes Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac ideal for off-road driving enthusiasts. The designers have taken care of the driver and passengers comfort through the tread blocks systems that have been optimised for lower noise levels . What is more, by locating them in the central zone of the tread, they maintain lateral stability on rugged and challenging terrain. The tyre is durable and resistant to mechanical damages; in addition, it also features a rim protector which helps protect wheels from accidental kerb damage. This model also has improved traction - as a result of self-cleaning tread blocks on the shoulder of the tyre, it can quickly get rid of gravel, sand and mud, which positively affects the grip and improves driving stability . Engineers also took care of the even distribution of pressure, so that the tyre tread wears out slowly and steadily. This ensures full performance throughout the tyre’s longevity and greater driving safety. The model is dedicated for drivers who appreciate lasting and durable tyres that provide a safe and comfortable ride .

Goodyear is one of the worldwide leaders in the tyre industry. The company specialises in the production of premium tyres, which are characterised by excellent craftsmanship and maximum parameters . The company, in addition to its own brand, also provides Dunlop, Fulda, Sava and Debica tyres to the market. Goodyear owns 85 manufacturing facilities in 28 countries around the world.

    Opinion from outside the UK

I replaced the tyres as a replacement for BFGoodrich MT KM reference to 8 years served me faithfully in the Expedition SUV. Absolutely do not regret this departure from orthodoxy field. When buying tyres for land not buy AT class because in our clay surfaces immediately after rain do with their slicks. MT tyres are a must, if you want to leave the area and not the true way for a villa. But racial MT-ki are loud on the asphalt and do not keep well away. Goodyear MTR is a happy medium. MT usually softer than the steel inserts on the sides because instead of Kevlar. Runner thicker and softer, better on asphalt but still good for mud. Only higher abrasion. But something for something. Much quieter than the MT-NEB. Slats will use them in the winter, but this is not typical of winter tyres. Original holes for studs for driving on the white road, where the law allows it. Overall, I highly recommend the off-road and on a daily basis. Instead of unfortunate MT or hardcore "universal" AT. Opinion from outside the UK

I was looking for tires and the expedition found. Great for light terrain and for long trips through. Surprisingly do well on wet roads, very good on dry roads, dirt and gravel trails, in mud and snow. After 10000 km I have not found the loss of the tread. I have not had the opportunity to test the tires on ice. What remains unknown for me as resistance to mechanical damage in the rock and forest, although the manufacturer declares the side of the tire reinforced structure. The downside is the small number of sizes available in the European market, in the absence of my preferred size 235/85 R16 (available in the U.S.). In comparison with my previous AT-arms GENERAL GRABBER did not grow burning, even on the contrary, however, are slightly louder. As for the handling characteristics that surpass its predecessor in every case. Read more Collapse

Super tire on asphalt and medium-heavy area. After 60 thousand still suitable for use in the field, but on the asphalt begins tighter noise and squeal when braking. In comparison with other MT great choice that you can not regret it, unless you are a conservative, classic narzekającym on anything that is not BFGoodrich tire. A lot of driving in Albanian, Romanian and other Balkan rocky mountains and no failures. Much rides on the low pressure (0.8), and never dropped the wheels of! If someone wants to tire With more quiet on asphalt which can be easily entered into the mud and sharp rocks would recommend without hesitation. In total, I drove on these tires about 400 thousand (Wrangler and L150) You have just changing my 5 kompleti is perhaps something should provide Read more Collapse

I was looking for a universal tire for off-road driving Cranes AT, but also and winter. DuraTrac as one of the few of this type of tire has specifications winter. Driving on snow przetrenowalem yet, so I will refer to the on-road and off-road. On asphalt tire quiet, evenly August leads, you can drive 100 km / h will not be loud. Braking in dry very well 'on the wet also, abs does not have to react when you press the brake firm. Land-mud or grass is not sticking the tread, car rides, sand, sand well, it helps here tread of the tire, which in turn is dangerous ruts in the asphalt at higher speeds. Conductor runs overall estimate at 5 +, for aesthetes-August nicely presented on the car 'and of those white subtitles :) Read more Collapse

Tire that I consider as the best compromise between road and true off-road, not the simple white road. Great especially powdery snow, keeps a good traction even on that compacted. The mud has a good appetite to empty quickly and recover the adhesion ability. On salt rock really well and it is sturdy enough not to be damaged too. Despite the generous tread maintains a fairly comfortable in cycling on asphalt. I traveled about 10k km and appear new so the consumption is good, we will see how the situation evolves with increasing km. Not only recommend it to those who do not want to keep two sets of tires (road / off-road), but if this continues is a tire that will buy definitely. Read more Collapse

Compared to the tank that has so far use a vehicle (AT) revelation. On asphalt or dry or wet better than AT Properties Field for me are great. Self-cleaning tire in the mud, traction on grassy wetland area, or coping in the deep ruts ... GY WR DT vs. ? AT incomparably do not know how life DuraTrac. I suspect that it will not hold as much as AT. Word summary of a very good compromise between properties on a black and hard work in the field. I am happy with the choice. And I was wondering, and I read a lot before I decided. We'll see how it will be with a life of tires. Read more Collapse

just picked you realize the weakness (softness) of the absolute shoulder and in reference to the bfg mk2 there is an abyss. this leads to inaccuracy jurney due to the high deformation which also entails delay in the reaction. also recently it formed immediately deflating the belly that exposes the shoulder to the risk of cuts on uneven ground (for comparison the bfg mk2 the deflated and not very spanciano while footprint stretches giving buoyancy and directionality). ultimately too soft rubber both on and off the road. Goodyear Duratec I can fly at 100%. Super running on snow and wet roads, despite the tread corresponding MT tires on asphalt exhibit traction as AT and to those with higher-end example. Goodear SilentArmor. A ride on the ground does not write because that's another story. As far as their shortcomings are proposing before buying to check their load capacity and compare with the car and the way to use the car. I would recommend again 100%. Yours Read more Collapse

Tire positively surprised me with its versatility. I drove on other types AT tires, but none so did not convince me. Wranglers like MT, but in my opinion only in appearance. They are suitable for mud, swamp, sand, grass and asphalt. Their only drawback is that you actually are quickly worn down. No, but they are soft rubber - their properties do not come from nowhere.
