Firestone Multihawk is a summer tyre designed to ensure a comfortable and smooth ride. Owners of middle class cars will be particularly pleased with its performance, as this type of tyre shows its full potential. The increased rigidity of the tyre tread blocks provides greater control over the car and a shorter braking distance on dry roads. A greater stiffness was achieved by reducing the number of sipes - in addition to better control and firmer driving, this feature also helps wearing more evenly. As a result, this model can be used for longer and offers a full performance in its life span.
Firestone Multihawk also provides an excellent performance in wet conditions. By the rounded shape of the blocks and the symmetrical tread pattern, the tyre achieves faster drainage and a better resistance to aquaplaning. A large area of the tyre contact patch and innovative tread design, stops the car from skidding, and the safety and comfort, are also improved. This model has modern three-dimensional shoulder connectors, which role is to further strengthen the rigidity of the blocks, maintain adequate resistance to aquaplaning and protect the tyres from uneven wearing. The connectors, in addition to a number of advantages, also have an aesthetic function - the tyre looks modern and dynamic. The creators of Firestone Multihawk also focused on improving the volume ratio of the voids to the full tread elements, which equilibrated the performance on dry and wet surfaces and normalised the pressure distribution of the tyre on the ground.
